Verizon SM-N900V Note 3 OB6 questions about ROMs

I have rooted my phone and unlocked the bootloader and I have a couple questions.
1. I have SM-N900V OB6, I have found a couple roms, but they seem to be for the OF1 firmware. Are they usable on my OB6? Can I install OF1 firmware on my OB6?

2. My biggest problem I would like to get around is since my phone status says custom I have not been able to sync to my google account and am missing my contacts list. Is there an easy way to trick it or something so I can use the google play store? It says it has trouble connecting to the google servers apparently because of my tinkering.

Just trying to learn thanks!

Very likely you do not have to flash bootloader software. There are some weak dependencies between firmware and ROM/kernel but between OB6 and OF1 they shouldn't be very significant.

Just make a backup with TWRP before installing the new ROM. If the new ROM doesn't work, just wipe and restore your backup.*

What happens when you use the Google Play app? If you don't have a current (Google) credential/token on the phone, it will ask you for a Gmail account & password.

If it doesn't do that it suggests some other problem - you haven't been freezing apps, killing off services, or using a task killer, have you?

*Make sure you copy backups to a location off the phone. Having them only on the phone is a horrible idea.

Hey man - while I'm thinking of it (I hope you don't mind the small thread jack) since you are on OB6...

Could you look at your Odin (download mode) screen and report the values you see for the "RP SWREV" flags in this thread?

(I'm trying to find out which in which release the A3->A4 transition occurs)

I'm now running of1.
I have copied backups and flashed the of1 firmware on my ob6, shows ob1 still in settings but of1 on Odin. Thank you for your help!

Well, it sounds like you have something running. But your statement up there ^^^^ sort of confuses the heck out of me.

What was the name of the file(s) that you flashed? Was it a ".zip" file from somebody's ROM thread flashed with a custom recovery, or a ".tar.md5" file that was flashed with Odin?

Or both?
