Does anyone know what the new Verizon Software update 14, is?

My phone started bugging me, this morning.

I'm rooted on 20C, and I don't want to screw anything up.

I'll happily unroot if it's Pie, though.

update 14 vs99520d

Nevermind, I see people talking in another section about it being a security patch.
Where did you see the discussion? I've been on androidcentral forum and supposedly LG told somebody (not me) that it was a security update but provided no details. I've spent a couple hours now on the phone with Verizon and LG tech support and they both claim it is not their patch. Maybe the people I've been talking to don't know where to look but this is weird. The people who have applied it got updated from 20c to 20d but the security update date remained at 1 Oct 2018, which was the 20c patch. Confused...

I was just referring to this thread.

So Verizon is claiming they didn't push an update? Very interesting.

I'm sure the patch is legit and this is just the usual big-company problem where the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing, but I wonder if it's an update that 'escaped' from their development process prematurely. Not updating the security patch date from 1-Oct-2018 is a pretty big red flag even apart from the support staff of both companies being ignorant. It would be nice to think that we (in the U.S.) will get Pie like the folks in Korea, but my guess is there isn't enough U.S. market presence for this phone for LG to want the support headaches so they will never do it.
