Right, I'm at that point. Followed the OP, checked themes in the menu. Now from my Launcher how do I change the theme. That is my question. You have to follow one of the methods in the first post.

Click on the widget you made and it brings up a menuRight, I'm at that point. Followed the OP, checked themes in the menu. Now from my Launcher how do I change the theme. That is my question.
I guess I am not conveying my question appropriately. I know I have to open the widget I created, I know I have to enable theme support in the list of options. Now, let's say I downloaded this theme. In the description to use the them you Go to Settings/Display/Home screen/Theme/Choose Theme from list. In this widget that was created, where do you pick the theme to use that you downloaded?Click on the widget you made and it brings up a menu
Yeah sorry you lost me before.I guess I am not conveying my question appropriately. I know I have to open the widget I created, I know I have to enable theme support in the list of options. This is how it was done on the G3, https://youtu.be/2wPQFxUnEYk How do I do this now?????
Got it. Whats weird was I did it the first time, then enabled themes. All I had was the menu. Now I just created the shortcut again and I have the screen to choose the themes. Thanks man. Hope I didn't come across as an ass.Yeah sorry you lost me before.
Create the widget and click it. It opens up the menu right away to choose themes. It lists the download themes from the market like all the rest.
Not sure how else to explain it. I download them off the market and as soon as I click the widget it takes me straight to the screen to select it.
Not at all. I was just getting confused?Got it. Whats weird was I did it the first time, then enabled themes. All I had was the menu. Now I just created the shortcut again and I have the screen to choose the themes. Thanks man. Hope I didn't come across as an ass.
Very weird. I've noticed this happening on some phones. Not sure what advice to give on that one. On identical VZW phones my friends wouldn't use LauncherPro but mine had no problems.Whenever I try going the launcher pro method, it says that launcher pro has stopped working.
Trying the any shortcut route leaves me with a shortcut that when takes says app isn't installed.
I have LG smart world installed, and on the VS986 model.

Are you sure you used these exact settings while creating the short cut? Even missing a letter that should be in caps, will make give you the "app not installed" error.Whenever I try going the launcher pro method, it says that launcher pro has stopped working.

Yes. I copy pasted the exact contents from the original and just tried again thinking I maybe left quotes in, but didn't.Are you sure you used these exact settings while creating the short cut? Even missing a letter that should be in caps, will make give you the "app not installed" error.
Try these exact settings once again using the "Any Shortcut" application
Application : com.lge.launcher2
Activity : com.lge.launcher2.theme.LGThemeChooserActivity
That's disappointing.Yes. I copy pasted the exact contents from the original and just tried again thinking I maybe left quotes in, but didn't.
Still get the same error when I try both methods.
And I haven't disabled any of the default installed apps, except for the NFL app that verizon deems necessary for everyone to have.

It's my second one already and as of the end of tonight I'm beyond my 14 day return period. I'd have gone earlier but I'm stuck at work. Blah I'll just wait till we get a released root method. That's disappointing.
I'm surprised how two official verizon phones can behave in different ways. I can only assume Verizon has shipped phones with different official software versions. My suggestion would be to either factory reset the phone once, or return it and get a new one citing some reason.

Yup. Ask the prerequisites were downloaded before I even tried any shortcut or the launcherpro methods.LauncherPro method wouldn't work for me.
Any Shortcut did.
Did you go to the link given and download and install the smartworld app? That has to be installed before the shortcut will work.
