Verizon Users - Can Voicemail be permanently turned off?

Probably leaving Sprint because Tmobile can't get it together enough to turn off my voicemail permanently. Verizon has much better coverage in my area than either of them so I'm looking at it hard. Your input, positive or negative is appreciated. Running a factory unlocked 10+ if that matters.

I believe it's a simple matter of telling Verizon not to activate it on your line.

You'll have to call Verizon customer service to disable it.
