I am running ICS 4.0.4/IMM76L so I should be good. I just ran adb logcat and dumped the logs. Worked fine. So after I receive the notification but before downloading and installing I need to run logcat, correct?
I hope you get the ota, but there is a chance that you may not get selected to receive it,
or any of us here for that matter. I too am signed up for the soak test.
The infamous waiting game continues .... ;)

4.1.2/JZO54L was released to AOSP. Considering that builds don't go to AOSP until a factory ROM exists, one would assume the public OTA is finally upon us.

I got the invite, took the survey and end of story. No word since. I have the experience edition with LTE and a data plan. I believe it's also known as the stingray. Way to stand behind your products that are guaranteed to have continued support!

I am in the same situation. I am thinking one of the following happened:
  • The update was cancelled due to lack of response to the soak test.
  • The update is delayed until the Xyboards get the update, as Verizon was still sellng them not too long ago.
  • They decided to change a version of Android (4.1.1 to 4.1.2 or something).
  • They realized they needed to rewrite the bootloader, as there isn't enough system memory in the device.
  • Tegra 2 doesn't support NEON, and a lot of JB features use it.
  • Verizon is still doing 'testing' and it is queued.

Take your pick. Your guess is as good as mine. I hope it comes, as I still don't see a tablet that I would upgrade to yet.

At least for the xoom1, those 3 points dont really apply since wingray already got JRO03H and JZO54K with the same bootloader
stingray is mostly just wingway + a modem, the going assumption is that stingray will get JZO54L as it's got a lot of stingray specific code in it.

There will likely be a baseband update if/when it comes out stingray though, however long vzw takes to validate it is purely speculation.

My stingwray has a modem with the LTE upgrade. They called it the "something experience device. I paid a fortune for it compared to the icrap. I was guaranteed continued support and updates. VZW has dropped the xoom from their line up altogether. It doesn't make much sense for them to do extensive testing. I am running the latest ICS update. Motorola sent me an offer to unlock my boot loader! I declined knowing it could bite me in the rear later if it came to an insurance claim. Besides I don't need their permission nor help. Too many fishy angles going on there. Either way I'll wait. I love my xoom. But I'm losing love for moto and vzw! I have two OG droids running elite roms, thunderbolt on liquid. d2vzw on aokp until radio issues. Now on liq2.8/JB 4.2.2 oc 1512. Doing what I can lol.

Seriously?

I just noticed this thread. OldBlue, how could you leave me hanging like this?

My mom said something about an update but I have no way of knowing if it just rebooted on her or what. I'll ask her more detailed questions.

I didn't sign up for the soak test but since I was all up in Motorola's business they might have asked VZW to just push it to that XOOM because they didn't want to hear it. (Yeah, I got on that kind of customer list with them. I probably should have told them to breathe easy now that I gave it to my mom after I got my Surface Pro up and running. I'll ask her to look at the device settings to see what version she's running. (This will be a painful exercise because she doesn't really know how to use it.)

Oh boy. Missed Ingress references on Twitter and now this. Oldblue just earned a one-way ticket to the dog house. ;)
