I bought my Note 3 at Best Buy also for $300, along with a couple of GS4's. They were great to price match Amazons price of $119.99 for the GS4's, but I didn't learn about the VERIZON30 discount going on for the Note 3 until two days later. Amazon is now selling the Note 3 for $250. Does anyone have any idea if I went back and showed them the Amazon price, would they refund $50 back? Technically I am within the 14 day return window and could go that route, but it would be a hassle.

code

Well here is what I did at Best Buy. The problem with me was that I bought the phone yesterday and saw this thread when I got home. So what I did was use one of the phones we have on our plan that was still available for an upgrade and went through the entire process on verizonwireless.com to upgrade the phone. I chose to pick it up at a local store and added the verizon30 code. The site removed 90.00 from the invoice. I should mention all these steps are before you actually pay so you are never really upgrading another device. I screen printed it and went back to Best Buy. Within 5 minutes I was walking out of the store $96.00 dollars richer. Doing it this way the customer service person didn't even have to check with a Verizon store. Best Buy has Verizon on the list of price competitors so anyone should be able to get the discount there.

By the way thanks to the OP for taking the time to post this.
Can you please upload a copy of the printout that shows the 30% code attached (VZW). I can't seem to get the coupon to work online. I'm thinking I can you yours. Your assistance is greatly appreciated! :)

Can someone please upload a screenshot of the code working at VZW.com? I'd like Bestbuy to do a pricematch but for some reason the code is no longer working. Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Paul

Just curious... let's just ASSUME that I want to ADD A LINE onto my current Verizon account...assuming that this code is STILL working correctly, which it seems as if it's a toss up as to if it still is or not, would this be able to work by adding another line like I'm really needing to do?

I'm not sure what to believe here. Some say it still works some say it doesn't. If anyone tries to use it within a couple of days, please post your results. I'm ordering mine on Thursday and hoping it will work.

BTW i preordered and billed my phone to my account. Once my phone came in on the 10th called in to the the "verizon30" promo applied...after an hour on the phone they said yes. well today i got my statement and its on there...90 plus the taxes so it was actually $96.30 credit....listed as "Equip Price Protection Adj"

I tried last night, did not work. Spoke with a rep. they said the code does not apply to the Note 3. Went to Amazon and bought the phone for $279.99 instead of $399.99. Got free prime shipping and wasn't charged tax. That's ~$40 savings over buying it from Verizon direct.

Now if I could have only gotten rid of that ridiculous $30 activation / upgrade charge...

Unless it's been changed like the Verizon 30 code has, Verizon is waiving the $30 activation fee for the month of October. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I was able to get them to waive mine but that was last week. Should be short and painless, but you may be in for a night full of long holds and incompetent VzW reps...
