O Rly? I have been using a sim that I got from the Verizon store about 4 months ago from my SGS3, and NFC works, no problem.

sorry i shouldve been more specific. If you go to a best buy, they will most likely have the old red and white SIMs. The new NFC SIMs are all white if im not mistaken. So if you have one of the new all white SIMs then you wont lose any functionality.

This will work but you will lose the NFC function since the note 3 has a different type of SIM card than previous phones.

Please don't spread false information. The note 3 is not the first phone to have NFC and you will not lose any functionality if swapping sims from another phone with NFC. My sim is red/white and NFC works just fine.
