My WIFI hotspot toggle worked right out of the box... should I disable automatic updates just in case they try to lock this great feature?

It is highly likely that Verizon may patch this up

So we are no longer able to use designgears root method? What about his stock files if we want to go back stock. I already have both root and stock files on my pc so are they still usable?

I really don't see big V doing this as the Droid Razr (and Maxx) both had WiFi hot spot options baked right into the default settings even after going from Gingerbread > Ice Cream Sandwich > Jelly Bean. Each of the updates had the ability to do so. I would doubt they would prevent this on a business end as those that launch WiFi hot spots are more likely to gobble data which would in turn net the company more profits.

If your on the share everything plan you dont have to worry about losing your mobile hotspot feature by doing a software update. Mobile hotspot is a free feature included with the share everything plan. Even if your device may not have the toggle alot of our 4g and 3 devices will still offer you mobile hot spot.

So ... can SafeStrap still be setup if you did the OTA from yesterday?
I am looking for a way to Root after that OTA, and get SafeStrap up and running.

thanks for any info.
