Just Updated accidently to the latest MJ7 Firmware and lost root. I know Verga won't work after soft bricking my Phone and Kingo Fails... had to run Pit file to unbrick any suggestions?

Try running Kingo again . I had that happen last night , and just reran it and it worked the second time. Then just download Chainfire's SuperSU1.65 and flash once you have SS running to get rid of Kingo's SU app.

Tried like 4 times and each and every time it failed avec after rebooting my PC. Maybe I'll try from my laptop this time. I'll post back. Let's give that a shot.

QUESTION

Hello everyone,
sorry for any noob question. This is my first samsung phone always had htc. I just came from the dna. I want to root this monster of a phone. Just picked it up a week ago and yes I accepted the ota update. I was just curious if anyone knew if the root method for this is still the same even with taking the ota update.
thanks in advance

Is there a viable root method after the OTA besides kingo? I'm sure you spell this out for us noobs somewhere so I do apologize for asking a redundant question.

I really want to to root my phone but I don't trust the kingo app. Will URDLV work on an after OTA Verizon Note 3?

You might want to change the thread title it is a bit misleading, instead of saying bootloader unlock you should say safe strap recovery. Other than that good compile of videos!

The title and the 4.4.4 update.

Quit your b**ch*ing about the title... Although the title is misleading.

Anyway, about the new 4.4.4 update... Who has it, and if you do, are you able to get root, and safestrap installed? Safestrap is going to be difficult to install, unfortunately because Hashcode has discontinued further development for the moment.

Does anyone know if there are any updates for current ROMs that we have right now? JasmineROM says claims their next update will be in accordance with the next OTA (which the last one they're running is the S5 + NC4 I believe; correct me if I'm wrong.) Please spread some light on the subject. I have been searching and searching for a new update instead of 4.4.2. The radio/modem sucks on the current JasmineROM release.
