It's not possible to do this without root. You need root to change some device settings to open a Diag Port, which is the bridge to the EFS Partition. This can only be done if you have root.

Flashing the ender-zhao module has worked perfectly on stock A12 (carrier: Telcel, in México). However, it does not seem to work on LineageOS 18.1 (A11)... any ideas why?

I'm still on Android 11 December update lol so I'd just be as clueless. I couldn't be bothered updating to Android 12 because I have to factory reset it for root.

Thanks for your response, a lot of people have chosen to stay on Android 11 for various reasons having to factory reset for root is one of the main ones.

I just tested it after applying May update and it worked flawless

It's probably those of us living outside the official supported countries that have 5G disabled. We paid top dollar for a phone that advertised 5G so it would be great if we had the option to use it, because who would've known that google would do such as thing as to disable 5G for unofficial countries.

Same thing with Hold For Me and Call Screening. After 10 years of only using Samsung phones, I made the switch to Pixel after reading about all the big headlines about the cool Pixel-exclusive features, only to find out after that it's US and Canada only. Though, that's on me for not carefully reading the fine print.

We just want the option to be able to use the features that we paid for

Update: I was finally able to open the diag port on the P5. Do either of you know where I can find a noob friendly guide to using Qualcomm tools?

That's odd, since it works on the Pixel 5 also rooted and on June update.

I even noticed we don't have to repeat the procedure after flashing new update if the radio version was not modifed. On the other hand, if radio is updated (newer version), then we will have to repeat the entire process in order to have 5G connectivity back.

hi @swangjang I am from India and I was able to unlock and connect to 5G on my Pixel 5 which was bought from US, and thanks to you for the perfect procedure.
However speeds are seems to be of 4G only, to check this I open the phone info by dialing *#*#4636#*#* and found that even though my phone network was connected to 5G my data network type was LTE. Is there any trick to change data network type? Can you pls help?
