I don't know about developing but I just got a replacement Note 2 and I'm having trouble unlocking the bootloader or flashing a custom recovery. I can't get TWRP or CWM to stick. Any suggestions?

So I have read your guide and have tried to make it work for my soft bricked Galaxy Note 2 I605. The problem is that I can not get a clean download of the 4.4.2 firmware. I have tried multiple times to download from SamMobile to no avail. Would you perchance have another source I can download from? Thanks for your time!
