you cant ss only works on the internal sd card not the external.
I've watched your vid on how to crate rom slot in ss but for some reason it's not letting me create a rom slot...

I've made my back up , chose slot one, made the Partitions sizes and the create rom button is gray and won't work?... I have 3 gb avaliable on my internal memory ...
Any ideas

you need to have about 6gb of space on the internal sd card for a rom slot to be created.

hyperdrive

So I wanted to see if anyone here maybe had an answer since I can't post in the Dev section at the moment. I tried installing hyperdrive the kitkat version and I have safestrap updated and I'm running NC2 in my stock rom slot, but every time hyperdrive starts up my systemui force closes and then when I try to use wifi during setup my settings force close. Then when everything is set up and I try to use setting to change the wallpaper my settings will force close again. I also noticed if I would turn on a setting like battery percentage it would end up disappearing after a while like the setting force closed again or something and didn't say so.

Can u root the 4.4 Verizon note 3 with theses methods?
I would also greatly appreciate knowing. The day after I got my new Verizon Note 3 SM-N900V, the 4.4.2 OTA was released, and, without thinking, I installed it. Now, no root for me. :(

Is there anything I can use/do other than wait and hope?

I've already run into one previously mentioned problem where some apps can't write to external SD. Very annoying ...

Unfortunately you have to wait at this point.

Root MJE

I just activated this phone last night. It immediately did an OTA and now I'm on MJE. All the root videos are for MI9. Can someone point me to instructions for rooting this phone with the MJE firmware?

We are in the same boat. My understanding is that, for the time being, we're screwed. None of the current rooting methods work with MJE/4.4.2, regardless of whether you care about tripping KNOX.

It seems the only answer is to wait and hope that some industrious hacker finds a way to root 4.4.2. I'm happy with my Note 3 (hardware wise), but I seem to have a habit of getting new devices that are "old" as far as the hacker community is concerned. My previous phone was a Droid 3 (I *really* miss my keyboard... :( ), and it was only through the very generous efforts of HashOfCodes that I was able to root and safestrap my Droid 3.

Here's hoping a similarly talented individual will wish to "fix" the Note 3. I am already finding 4.4.2's prohibition of SD card writing for most apps to be extremely annoying. I just sifted through a bunch of old photos with the Gallery, only to have all of the deleted ones magically reappear, apparently because Gallery can't write to the SD card and doesn't give any indication of failure.

I was under the impression the 4.3 MJE version could be rooted with Kingo without tripping Knox. Is that not true? I'm actually considering selling this Note 3 and buying another and trying again but I won't bother if I can't root that version. Can someone confirm please?

Whoops, my mistake. I'm on NC4/4.4.2, not MJE.

I know I can't root it now. Just to confirm my own shame, there's no way I can undo this OTA and go back to the previous version (NC2, I think), correct?

Maybe I'll go back to the kiosk where I got the phone and see if they'll be cool and swap mine for an NC2 device. If they have any remaining, that is...

NC2 is not official, so you cannot get it pre-installed on the phone. Maybe mje and do not accept the update...
