Just rooted my phone wanting to flash a Rom and there's an issue. Recovery doesn't give me the option to backup!

@dawna_2001 dont quote the op. A big post for a small question. Stock recovery does not have those options. Use safestrap recovery.

So I have a new issue My phone rebooted and on the screen it says
SECURE FAIL: RECOVERY

you should be able to downgrade to kitkat if you want to with odin

Be careful...I don't think so! Anything newer then 4.4.2 you can't root if you're on Verizon.

@Tomsgt lol your every where..... was just handed a note 3 already on LP ugh. More research. Looks like I can Odin back to kk? Root it and have fun. Correct?

I'm no dev but from what I gather that probably will not happen. At least I've not seen any mention of people working on it.

Don't you have to be rooted in order to use flashfire and install the rom though?
