I am.using a verizon note 3 in europe and while my phone is werizon usa i cant reach 3g or 4g network is any way to change the CSC or to do something with this problem ?

is there not a specific root for the n900v on 4.4.4? looked around at possibly downgrading back to 4.4.2 or whatever to make the towel root work maybe, but I don't have the original charge cable that came with my phone, i'm using a different one, so the pc isn't seeing the phone even with the driver updates and such. what can i do? is there a one click? i'm sure air droid wont work since you need the phone not in download mode to use it.

No, 4.4.4 could not be rooted nor could it be downgrade to 4.4.2

You can upgrade to 5.0 (OF1) and that can be rooted.

If you are not "stock" (as in rooted, using an alternate ROM, unlocked bootloader, etc.) you can NOT update Android via an Over The Air (OTA) update.

If you are rooted, you may be able to update to Jasmine ROM 6.0.1 which is based on the OF1 (lollipop Android 5.0) stock ROM. See the Jasmine ROM thread in the developer's section. The very first posting in the LONG thread has a link to the Jasmine 6.0.1 page in the thread where full instructions and download links.

Otherwise...

Get ODIN, wipe the phone, and flash the Verizon firmware for OF1

ODIN is a PC program, it and Verizon firmware is available on sammobile.com. To download either, you have to be a member of sammobile but membership is free. It's a relatively slow download for free members... But you only have to download it once.

IT WILL RESET YOU TO A 100% STOCK NOTE 3. You will have to root, unlock bootloader and reinstall all your apps again.

I only have the single cord I have atm. Nothing else. No money to buy another. All drivers are installed that I think need to be,but it doesn't even see the phone as being connected to the pc. It just charges...

Any standard microUSB cable will work. Borrow one from a friend.

Also, make sure you have the phone in USB debugging mode.

There are no other choices to getting your phone 'fixed'

safestrap trouble

I want to downgrade from lolipop to kitkat but when I flash NC2 and 4 firmware it gets stuck in a bootloader.
My question is, how I install safestrap into the firmware in such a way before installing the firmware that safestrap is flashed and appears when the phone boots so I can install a custom kitkat rom? I have not been able to unlock bootloader on lolipop.

I have this phone just as a media device but last night I finally got it routed, install TWRP and unlocked the bootloader. There's a APK you can install and it will unlock the bootloader but you have to run it twice for it to work. I can send you the link if you need it but it's really easy to find if you just look in the Verizon Note 3 general questions. Then I installed ArayaMod custom ROM. I tell you what for being such an old phone it runs pretty snappy. I also have an S5 from Sprint that has Resurrection remix pie running on it and I swear it doesn't feel near as snappy as the Note 3. And the S5 has the supposed better processor. both those phones though are just media phones and only work when I'm on Wi-Fi. My Note 10 plus is my daily driver. Don't mind the model number, he made it compatible with the 900V.

Use ODIN to get on OF1 firmware then Arabic root tool.

I realize that in order to have safestrap appear instead of a bootloop screen I need to flash a backup of nc4 firmware that somebode else installed safestrap on. do ou have a backup with safestrap installed and working?

I want to be able to downgrade so I access safestrap on me sm-n900v note 3 because the official bootloader unlock technique did not work. error "do not patch out of code". the phone came with OF1 firmware .

also, can area rom be flash when bootloader is locked?

Do you think if flashing a boot.img that is unlocked will unlock the bootloader, because boot.img's can be flashed successfully using the Flashify app. If you have a copy of your unlocked sm-n900v lolipop 0F1 boot.img can you upload a download link?

I had to run that APK twice. The first time the terminal emulator came up and I just typed in yes then the phone rebooted. Then I ran the APK again and typed in yes and just wait because it took a couple minutes and then it processed more and then my bootloader was unlocked so you don't have to worry about safestrap after that because you can have a true custom recovery. I backed up my stock ROM as soon as I got TWRP installed so I'm pretty sure the bootloader needs unlocked to flash a ROM unless you are running safestrap but I've been out of the game for a while. The last four phones I've owned can't be rooted because there the US model. I just got bored a couple days ago and looked it up and got everything done. I just did it so I have another media phone that I take to work. I have an S5 that I use as my music player at work because my Note 10 plus sits in a locker. So I just did that on the Note 3 out of boredom and I accomplished everything. It even runs quicker than my S5. So I don't know if maybe that kernel is better or what but I'm happy with it. Before I use it as a music player I need a new battery because that battery drains so fast. sorry if there's any misspellings in this I'm at work and I just was on 10 minute break and I was doing talk-to-text so sometimes it messes it up. Try that bootloader unlock APK again and give it a few minutes after you type yes the second time you run it and I bet you will get the same results I did.

A while ago I used the ADB official sm-n900v lolipop bootloader method which is the same script as the one the apk version used, and I unlocked the bootloader; but I accidently relocked it. I don't know what changed, but I couldn't unlock the bootloader after that. the apk described I tried, and the when I opened the app an emulator message "yes or no" appeared and I typed yes. the phone didn't reboot and text in emulator stated the process failed after a few seconds because it was "patched out of code"; I don't know what that means and googling it revealed nothing.
I am hoping ou know what this error means and how I can fix the cause; I am stuck.

also I tried running the unlock_n3 script in file explorer but the phone didn't reboot; I gave the file all permissions. the app required the unlock_n3 script to be put in a certain file location before it could run. Before I gave the file all permissions in the app permission denied text appeared in emulator.

Just in case the apk is different then the one I used can ou post a link?
