@Tomsgt I just wanted to say thank you! I'm using my Amazon Fire Tablet with CM12 to post this right now thanks to your video! Also I was wondering will you be keeping updated with videos for new releases of CM12?

In another thread, I see that custom Rom can't be loaded for soho 2015 fire, that is why I wonder if it is now possible to load cm12 on my new fire 7 inch? thanks

Thanks you, SD_shadow. The tablet I just bought looks to be the "Amazon Fire 5th Gen/2015: 7" screen, microSD slot, VGA front-facing camera. 2 MP rear-facing HD camera".

Can you please tell me if the video posted in this thread about installing CM12 would work for my tablet? Thank you.

Right on man! I just sent you a pm! I also run a YouTube Channel. Black Collar Comedy on YouTube. You should check it out! We're really not that funny but we get a little better with each new video! Haha

I flashed SlimROM via FlashFire from my rooted Fire 7. I installed a Layers theme and rebooted and now im stuck in a bootloop. I did not get to turning on USB debugging therefore, adb IS NOT working. I've tried sideloading the BIN file (stock firmware) via stock recovery but it fails. Can anyone help? Ive also performed a factory reset in recovery.

So basically I cannot run any adb commands since USB debugging was off. What can I do?

What message does it give you? You wiped data and cache before flashing the stock OS?

You could try flashing the stock OS via fastboot. Wipe data & cache first.
fastboot flash system stockOS_file_name.img

The newest SlimLP doesn't even include Layers. The Fire doesn't play well with them.

Stock firmware is a bin file. Will that work? And will that work if my device doesn't show up in adb with "adb devices"?

Also, if I do the adb devices command with tablet off and plugged in, it shows my device. It just won't find the device in bootloader or recovery.

Yes I tried reset then sideload. It fails because adb doesn't detect device.

So flashing the stock OS didn't actually fail then, you just can't connect via adb.
You're right, you'll need a .img file. Tho first you could check that your pc can see it in fastboot (since adb isn't working for you). Boot into fastboot then do
Code:
fastboot devices
on your pc.
