I flashed MIUI 8 and i was highly disappointed with xiaomi. The user experience was very very bad.
ISSUES
1.Huge battery drain. For me this reason is strong enough to hate MIUI 8. Screen on time is pathetic to say the least. No Google play services wakelock or any 3rd party wakelocks.
2.Temperature.The phone is unusable after 5-6 minutes of continuous usage. While in kitkat with God's kernel i sued to use my phone continuously for 30 - 40 minutes without any issues.
3.Storage space. I lost 2 gb more. And that came under miscellaneous usage. So in kitkat i used to have around 12 gb usable space. But after upgrading to marshmallow i have hardly 10 gb available.
4.Wifi issue. Frequent wifi problems. Ex i noticed that sometime i was able to connect to a Hotspot but unable to access internet. But the same was possible with my brother's redmi note 3.He had no problem accessing the Internet.
NOTE-I did a clean flash. Full system wipe. And storage wipe too.
After facing all these issues i finally reverted back to kitkat miui 7.And with God's kernel my phone is a beast.
Marshmallow can wait. I am eagerly waiting for a Marshmallow supported MIUI custom kernel.
