Hi @guitardedhero, thank you for pointing me to your amazing work. I've just tried to test "Open /system/etc/audio_policy.conf in text editor
Add 44100 to voice_rx
Add 48000 to a2dp
Save changes
Reboot" and tried to listen music and then call som, here is the result
1-after the call, processing is still No
BUT I tried to close Music player and viper4 and reopened it and the sound effects is back, Processing changed to Yes, Hahahaha No need to reboot the phone.

By the way on my phone I don't have voice_rx but I just guessed and edited what I see in audio_policy.conf and boom it's working.

I use it together with this Viper_Atmos 3.5 Beats_huawei and i have to say when i listning to music with my headphone
i love it.But the phone speaker is a little to loud now,i have set all sound to minimum but still (to) loud.
Also i love Jetaudio player plus but with this combination off xtreme and viper/atmos/beats/huawei is a little to much
so now i'm using Gonemad music player.
I think to do a clean flash rom with only this Viper/atmos/beats/huawei and test it out again.

ViPER4Android will automatically choose the right one for you, all you need to do is choose the quality you want and reboot when prompted. If you are prompted to install the driver again after rebooting then we know something is up. In that case I would like to take a look at your /system/vendor/etc/audio_effects.conf if you don't mind zipping it up and attaching it with a reply.



All ViPER|Audio™ and VIPER|Atmos™ zips automatically install from your custom recovery. The name change is the result of the omission of special characters which caused issues in certain cases. Read the top half of the OP thoroughly to make an informed decision on which ViPER package you would like to try. 3.7 is the current and recommended version.

was searching the thread for this question but i get an error everytime not sure if this was answered before. i realized that i couldn't switch my phone to silent or vibrate mode after flashing the viper atmos last night , i had to freeze the dolby atmos and dolby service with titanium, switched to vibrate mode then unfreeze them. I wonder if this has happened to others and if there is a fix for it ?

Wipe System in TWRP and dirty flash your rom. Your file you shared does not reflect that is it contains a maxxaudio entry not provided by any ViPER package.

I understood you, I still recommend opening Dolby Atmos™ and making sure Volume Leveler is off. I still think you should give ViPER|Audio™ a try.

I am having a problem with crackling audio with viper/audio. It gets worse when I have it running with Dolby Atmos. If I turn off viper the crackling goes away, it is not present when Dolby Atmos is running by itself or I turn both off. I have tried this with 3 different music players, GoneMad, PlayerPro and USB Audio Pro with the same result. It is worse with earphones than it is with the speakers on the phone. I have a Nexus 6P running pure nexus with systemless root running elementalx kernel. It has been like this with all the different combinations I could come up with on what I am using. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the heads up on this player I didn't know about this one gonemad music player is my go-to number one player but I love trying out new ones I was also going to try out USB player but my wife said if I pay $8 for another music player she's going to punch me in the eye lol so I made a compromise if I like this player I'll pay the $4 and she can kick me in the shin lol I downloaded it and I really like the layout going to play with it today

guitardedhero, words can't describe what i feel after installing your mod. Sound is so crisp and powerfull. I'm on CM12.1 Jiayu G4S using ViPERAtmos 3.7 Beats Huawei Edition.
Also I prefer BBE Generic Preset 2.irs convolver but it's my personal taste Thank you very much for bringing all mods in one single zip You did a great job

Loud crackling sound while notification or call comes in

Hi folx, hi @guitardedhero ,

First of all i'm a big fan of your work and i follow your posts around Viper4Android for a while now. Therefore i have to ask myself when do you guy sleep

Lately i experienced the above mentioned problem. If a call or a notification arives there is a loud crackingsound before the linked sound was played. Never experienced it before - So i have some assumptions, but at the moment my time is a little limited to proceed some tests, if time comes i try:

1. The additional Beats / Huawei files cause this problem
2. It's an audiofocus problem
3. or the ogg files for the notificationssounds have a non fitting format

The last one could not be valid due tot the fact that it is played.

To test if the additonial are the problem i have to install a version without these files, but i have to remove all aditional files manually or restore an old backup of system-partition.
But first i try to patch audio_police.conf with your proposed adjustment.

Are there any other tipps around ? I haven't found any proposals concerning my problem...

i am still using ur 2.0 build (atmos) which was clubed with his 6.0 old build with his custom audiofx, and it was good.
checking the changlog of ur latest build, i see no new xtrememusic builds.

can u just make ur next build with his v7.0.3 build and ur work together.
or just tell me ur latest builds are included with his work?

Beats Huawei question...

So I have flashed the Viper|Atmos 3.7 Beats Huawei version and everything seems to be working beautifully.

I am familiarizing myself with all the obvious Viper settings in its app and likewise those in the Atmos app. I see the Audiophile profile and the DFX impulse files and have those available. I am curious, though, how do the Beats and Huawei files manifest their functions? I see no apps or settings pages for them. Are they just loaded and working in the background making everything better somehow?

Pardon me if this question is answered here elsewhere already.
