Installed the apk... Ran into significant battery drain. Went back to the zip install... Battery drain gone.
I also had that issue with the headphone jack. Check the Lock Effect Mode and make sure it is disabled. Then V4A will choose the correct jack automatically. Previously it was disabled as the default choice. Now I notice that headphone is selected as default. Hope this helps!Same battery issue. My headphone jack doesn't get detected anymore. I don't think the nexus 5 drivers work per some a few pages back.
Followed these instructions right here, no more compatibility mode to get it to work.I downloaded the updated apk, replaced it in the zip file and flashed. Set selinux to permissive and disable Nuplayer. Super High Audio driver in normal mode and it sounds great! Thanks, a lot. Running AOSPA 5.0
The 3 zips are a sure - fire method but I explored some of the code and some stuff is missing. If you use aux at all, it'll be broken with the 3 zips. From reading the last few pages it seems there still isn't a consistent way to get viper to work? It's been a while since I tried it.
What is the most success? The apk file in OP or the 3 zip files from the other thread linked to in here? Are there any other methods? Updated from the old ways?
Yes not sure what from though.weird beeping noises, anyone else having this problem?
2.3.4? Yeah we know, been released for a while now.Viper has released a new version for 5.0!!!
Have you set your kernel to permissive?Anyone here have any suggestions for getting this to work. Im super frustrated at this point. Downloaded new version, picked .apk for 4.0+, installed it and then opened, updated drivers /Reboot and then NOTHING.
I have a rooted N6, Anyone else have the same set up and can explain how they got it working?
That worked, can I leave it on permissive or only when using V4A?Have you set your kernel to permissive?
Thats a very important step for it to work.
You can leave it on permissive as long as you know which apps you are messing with its ok.That worked, can I leave it on permissive or only when using V4A?
