Does anyone else have the problem where you play music through one music application(ex: Shuttle) and then try to play a song through a different music application (Spotify) but you get no sound through the second music application until you kill the first application?

I made 2 flashable zip of version 2.3.4.0 if anyone needs them, the first one is a normal flashable zip containing Viper 2.3.4.0 so you'll need to manually flash the patches you find at this post and the second one has the fixes in it and also removes AudioFX, DSP manager and MusicFX
I really want to flash those but the last time i tried V4A all the sound in my device is gone i had to reflash my ROM again

thank you by the way it's really great

EDIT : IT WORKED FINALLY !
I couldn't resist the temptation i installed the second attachment and it work like a charm .. thank you so much

No problem mate glad I helped. I can't live without viper4android now, the sound is perfect once you find the right settings.

OP Takeover

Hello all,

I did not get the Nexus 6 after I waited 2 weeks a couple months ago for T-Mobile to ship and they never did. After that I decided to wait to get a white 64gb(The Unicorn) but at this point I have no interest in getting the device after such horrible availability. With that said if anyone wants to reach out to me to take over the OP here they're more than welcome to it. I don't feel comfortable maintaining or supporting something I cannot test on.

PM me if interested and we can reach out to a mod to make the switch.

Thanks a lot. Spent two and a half hours dicking around until I saw this. Flash these two files and got it working. FINALLY have headphones loud enough!!:good:

That was my biggest disappointment when I got this phone. My beloved spotify was so quite.

Thanks, I tried to flash the second zip over already installed 2.3.30 (as zip from TRWP) and cannot get to update to 2.3.4.0. Driver status says I am on 2.3.3.0.
Is there a way I can fix this (except flashing everything from the beginning, after a factory reset)?
Thanks.

Anybody know a fix please?

Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA Free mobile app
I had to dirty flash stock and unroot. I did not do a media wipe. Once I booted up I was able to get sound back via headphone jack, and I installed 2.3.3.0 zip. Everything works now. I am not cautious of upgrading to 2.3.4.0 because I do not want to do that all over again.

it's not 2.3.4.0 causing it, the newest version only fixes bugs and upgrades compatibility. If you guys actually took the time to read a page or 2 back you could find these two posts which might help you:

btw mine works just fine on 2.3.4.0.
