ViPERSurROUND for Nexus 5

I attached ViPERSurROUND.zip for Nexus 5.

I only tested it with the following conditions and it worked great:
Cataclysm Dec 14 beta
Elementalx Kernel 6.07
Systemless SuperSU 2.62-3
SELinux Enforcing

Enjoy the awesome sound.

@guitardedhero

I edited your ViPERAudio.zip to make surround sound by @chdloc worked with Nexus 5, earpiece and main speaker worked together to produce stereo sound.
I added mixer_path.xml and edited the update-script so that it will only be installed in Nexus 5.

Can I share the zip file for others who are interested?

Thanks for the awesome work.

Absolutely.

That sounds familiar, I think someone requested I do just that and it slipped between the cracks, thanks for doing it. And everyone should feel free to do whatever they like with anything I post here as it is truly the hard work of others, I just happen to have some time here and there and what might be described as an OCD for Android audio.

My first edit to the OP after gaining ownership was to put that statement followed by a list of those who make this even possible. You guys own all this stuff as much as I do and the primary intent with my name in the file names is to be more easily searchable and not get lost in the flood of Dolby™, Beats™, and countless other sound mods. Seriously, in the past year, or even longer, Android Software Development reads more like Android Audio Software Development lol.

I've got XtremeMusic™ 6.0 working great with Enforcing/Permissive Selinux, preinstalled driver, and Dolby Atmos™, but I am still trying to get the XtremeMusic app to work properly. I've been logged off most of the day so maybe there is a solution over there. I think there is a missing or incorrect effect in /system/vendor/audio_effects.conf but it's been impossible to avoid the persistent distractions today.

On Nexus 6?

Wipe System in TWRP and dirty flash your rom so you can start.with a fresh /system.
No..i am using Yuphoria with CrDroid rom based on android 6.0.1..
also i would like to inform that there is no folder of viper in internal storage or sdcard...i had to move the irs to /data/media/legacy/Viper4Android/

Correct. That has been v4a's home since Marshmallow's first preview. There's actually a post of mine in the official v4a thread where I discovered it first, at least first among the thread watchers lol.

XTREMEMusic™ 6.0 by androidexpert35
Dolby Atmos™ Edition 5.0+6.0.1

Cleaned up XM script for correct permissions on all folders/files
Dolby Atmos™ added along with a few Dolby specific files
Pre-installed Super Quality NEON driver
Fully functional in Enforcing/Permissive Selinux

Still trying to figure out the cannot load effect FC of XTREMEMusic.apk
Anyone figure it out yet? I'm finally able sit and digest some XDA while being out of pocket most of the day.

How was the rom installed? I assumed you flashed a rom zip in TWRP or something. However, all files are extractable and can be copied to the correct locations by following the order of files within the zip. Permissions will have to be manually set if you go this route.

If you installed this mod in a custom recovery then you should be able to install a compatible rom as well, trust me, it's much easier and quicker to wipe System and dirty flash your rom than performing TWRP backups and restores, I haven't backed up in TWRP in years and I still keep data as long as I want. The only prerequisite is having a compatible rom zip on your internal storage as an OS will have to be installed after TWRP wipes System.

I just went back to a full stock, systemless root ROM w/ SuperSu 2.62-3 and TWRP. When I try to install this it says "E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/Viper...".

Previously on Pure Nexus this installed fine. Is there a trick to getting this installed on a systemless root setup?

Which zip and version?

Next time that happens attach /cache/recovery/last_log and I will make the necessary change(s).

Also, if it is indeed a full stock Marshmallow rom then you are likely out of free /system space upon first boot.

2.2 dark viper atmos. Only viper worked but Dolby stopped not even open just popup apps stop. Installed dark viper audio and combined with Dolby digital plus everything okay but I wanted Dolby atmos in my ROM. I'm on cm13 nightowl gt-n7000.

Done. Without success. Write access denied.
Is there a setting or box in your file manager to mount in r/rw?
Root Explorer is the only manager I've ever used and never have this issue I see other file managers have.

Try my latest version I'm testing attached below, which is working perfectly for me after dirty flashing it over previous install.
