Viper4Android Working on S6 Edge (Root)

If you dont change permissions on both the viper.apk, and the audio.config files, it will never work..

i try to change permission but it still ask for driver install after a reboot

did you check after changing them that your changes stuck?

Post screenshots so we can help determine the problem. If you follow my directions it'll work fine. I had the same problem until I uninstalled all instances of viper first. Don't install it just place the file in the system/priv-app. Then follow directions. I'm using stericson busybox 1.23.1 installed to /system/bin

yes, i use solid explorer to change permissions and they do change even after a reboot, but v4A still doesn't work. it always ask me for driver install every time

your permissions should not change after a reboot; once you change them, and they stick, they should always stay that way..
what are you changing them to, in both Viper.apk, and in audio.effect.config?

Did you create a directory called Viper4Android in the priv-app folder?
Its not in there by default, you have to create that folder, and put the Viper.apk file in there..

they didn't change, they stick to 06-4-4 for the audio.effect.conf and 0-7-5-5 for the viper.apk

change the name of the directory you put Viper.apk in to this, exact name, with these exact letters..

i've got them in the right places, but yes, i tried to re copy and tried again, renaming the directory by the one you said "viper4android", but it's still asking for install after reboot. what the heck is wrong with my phone

i have a GS6 SM G920F, but i'd rather use my note3 SM9005 for music player. does the step to install viper4android for the 2 models differents?

I just typed in "Pandora unlimited skips apk" in google and the version i'm using is 5.8, every so often it will stop working and ill have to download a newer version. The only thing I used this app for was the bass boost... I set it to the highest I think 17dB, my Bluetooth beats earbuds sound alright, but on a good note I bought a pair of Skullcandy Crusher headphones that have a built in amp that takes 1 AA battery that have a ton of bass.

Guys, for me it works, but sometimes (quite often) during playback, the v4a processing stops working for a while, then eventually restarts to work by itself. Permissions are well, everything is installed... any idea why it does that? I am on the latest VN rom with an s6 edge international variant.
Its really weird to listen to my own sound profile, then it switches to off, then after a while it comes back on...

This works great all except for one thing. I like to use music visualizers and after installing this it causes them not to work anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it. I assume it has to do with the audio_effects.conf file.

Peuf did you uninstall all the other version like I said before? Uninstall the previous versions you've had and then do like I said. It works...you most likely installed it and now its looking in the wrong directory.

I have Viper4Android all installed and for the most part it works great! You can definitely tell a difference. I just have one issue and I searched the thread and saw it was asked a few times, but no anwser. Has anyone gotten "Convolver" setting to work? I have lots of IRS files, but can't get any one them to change the way the music sounds.

you have to place them in the proper directory, and then, in the convolver setting, you have to choose one of them..

Sorry, forgot to mention that. I did put them in the correct directory. Yeah, I don't get it. I've used it for years.
