do they show up in when you hit enable convolver, in the impulse response directly below it?

Make sure that you set the proper folder permissions or else Viper can't access the files that you put there...
Most of the features work on viper except irs. They are in the correct folder and enabling the features change anything

I used the original Viper4Android apk (the one on mediafire) because the other one would keep on giving me the message "app not installed" when I tried using the apk installer.
The app works fine right now, except for one option: Headphone Surround+. That's the setting with the five different VHS+ levels, but it doesn't work at all. Turning it on and off makes a small popping noise (which I think is normal) but the two sound qualities before and after are the same.
Am I the only one or is it an issue with the app?
EDIT: I just read the changelog and it says convolver and headphone surround+ are disable in phones without VFP because the x86 platform isn't fully optimized yet and might cause battery drain. I guess I'll be carrying around my old S4 for music. That single VHS effect changes everything.

Thanks for this great guide, it worked for me in first attempt. So far tested and works for all tracks that been played in PowerAmp and YouTube app.
However I'm confused why it doesn't always work with SoundCloud app, some specific tracks doesn't seem to have any effect at all, even the Force V4A option has no effect. It seems to bypass it, I tried playing them randomly as I thought it is just app glith but same issue. I thought SoundCloud streams same format for all tracks? If anyone can confirm that for me please. Thanks
EDIT: Tried reopening the app and played the last song that didn't work but now it works. The pattern is like a track plays with effect, next track doesn't, then the next one does and so on, and if I try playing previous ones that didn't had effect they still don't have unless I reopen the app. I have Note 3 with same version of app and V4A but that doesn't seems to ever happened.

Took me 6 installs, but I finally got it all working. Kept giving me errors or not grabbing root permissions but 6th time was a charm rebooted and now I can listen to my music with clear highs and booming lows!

I'm curious if this is what you see under driver status or not?
I ask because I Finally have everything working 100% on all media players but it took getting driver status to show like this to get there...

Mine lists everything as the same other than NEON enabled which is listed as no. When prompted to install the driver I never chose an audio quality option it simply installed it without asking
I also seem to be having problems with the convolver. Doesn't seem to have any effect. The equalizer and other settings work fine
From what I understand neon is just cpu optimization though right it's not required for the convolver or is it?
edit: gonna try flashing the file provided in op, also should the convolver settings be noticeable or is it really minor?
edit2: convolver still either not noticeable / not working after flashing. Selinux permissive, permissions double checked, IRS list is showing in the menu, however the selections/ enabling disabling convolver doesn't seem to have any impact on audio

I also get no driver options, it just installs one. Neon is labeled as no also. I tried flashing the zip before I installed the manual way btw. I tried with flashfire.

I managed to fix it not working on the G920T so it should work for you.
I believe the problem is that copying it into the sys apps folder wont install the lib folder thats normally there when you just install it by tapping the apk.
I did a full uninstall and followed the guide the same but instead of copying the app into the sys app folder, just install it as a user app from the apk file as you normally would and restart before opening the app. Make sure all permissions are set the same as before with the .conf file but the app folder will be in /data/app/com.vipercn.viper4android instead of system/priv-app.
Check to see if the lib folder is present inside /data/app/com.vipercn.viper4android after installing, and set the com.vipercn folder to 0755 permissions, including all subsets and files before opening. I use root explorer so it has that option when setting permissions to include to set the same permissions for all of the contents. Two restarts, one after installing the app and setting permissions, and another after opening the app and installing the driver.
Convolver and VHS+ working now and NEON support labeled as yes. It also allowed me to choose an audio quality for the driver when prompted to install.

I've tried to install it, but all I got now is FC every 1 sec when i boot up. is there a way to uninstall it ?
