Some ppl in this thread already mentioned it, but no one responded to it.
IRS is still not working for me and I don't know why, some settings like headphone surround + won't work as well. I installed the official v4a apk instead of the linked one, somehow I couldn't get it installed in priv app for some reason.
BTW thanks for the instructions OP.

Is your SELinux set to permissive?

It really depend on if you like how it sounds now or feel it could sound better. If you feel it could be improved, then try it out. If you like it as is, don't mess with it.

That said, you can dramatically improve the audio quality with the stock Samsung earplugs. This is my Viper4Android profile. This is not a flashable zip, you extract the folder into the VIPER4Android/Profile/ directory. Then use the "Load Effect Profile" from within Viper4Android to get them going. Keep in mind this is tuned to my liking, it may not be great for all.
I think you need to make instructions simple. Kindly indicate you need to copy file in mentioned directory or create folder. what permission to be given. How to get profiles to load. In OP you never mentioned to create any folder Viper4Android. where is this folder created... which directory.

selinux doesn't work for me. everytime I set it to permissive it will change immediately to enforcing again.
That happened to me.. I found an older version on Aptoid and it will stick..
I will point out that with just flashing the version of TWRP/ V4A posted a few pages back, it worked perfectly for me without doing a single thing after flashing zip.. I am using Ktoonz kernel but that was flashed after the fact.. I did NOT have SELinux set to permissive and I did NOT put anything in Prv/app folder.
V4A confirmed working with every media player from Google Play to YouTube to Rhapsody etc..

I'm stuck on step 3.. my system won't allow the write of the file.. I tried.. in terminal mount -o remount,rw /system but says denied.. I'm on the Verizon Galaxy S6 Edge with PingPong root..

Carry on..

Effect Profile: S6 Edge 20150402.

I'm impressed. Worked perfect as I followed the directions to the T. Just this last part, I was looking for the folder in system apps... it was on my SD card. Was able to import and like I said... I'm impressed.

Thanks!

Well I rooted my phone with pingpong and I don't want to trip Knox by flashing something.
Also, none of the selinux mode changers work, tried all versions

Well I certainly understand you're Knox concern.
In my case SELinux 2.0.1 or lower would work but it probably
isn't needed. Hopefully someone will come up with a working solution
for you and many others concerned about Knox and warranty being void.

Working great on G925f rooted with pingpong. Had a bit of an issue at first, followed all the steps in original post but couldn't get it to work until I installed the pro version of busybox. Now it's working great, what an improvement. Also BIG Thanks for uploading your sound profile... Loving it :)

I install the pro version of busybox too and it still says that I have no busybox when I try to install drivers. Have you managed to install drivers?
