My fingerprint scanner works everytime 10 out 10 times I just can't see why yours doesn't work (when all is said and done you know there can be only 1) VIPERMAX KING OF ALL ROMS FULL STOP
Mine works fine as well but if you turn your screen on and before you use your fingerprint you can press the back button and it unlocks the phone. Then they really is no security.

Nope I don't get those problems at all sorry for the thumbs up it was an accident
There was problems with it before that people were having and I haven't seen a fix yet. I just dirty flashed over and cleared cache and everything again and it's still not working. I'm just able to swipe up and unlock the phone. I can use the fingerprint scanner and it'll work too but I can also press back and it'll go straight to the home screen without me having to use my fingerprint.

As I said before, we (the beta test team) found this issue early on. Vin never got around to fixing it.

It will appear to work, however a swipe up will also unlock the phone. So, no security. Sorry. If someone has a patch, or a fix, I haven't seen it.

We are sorry, that some guys got the impression, that we left you alone here and wouldn't listen to you.
Now the BUT.

The One Max is really a pretty old device already and is not a flagship device, means that the community around it is pretty small.
@Vinchenzop is busy with private stuff, so there is no further development on that rom.
You need to understand that Team Venom consists currently of about maybe 2 really active coders and some rom chefs. We really don't have the manpower atm and never will have to
support more than 2-3 devices at the same time..those are mostly the last 2-3 flasgship devices. currently m7, m8 and soon the m9/hima.
Sure here and there are some ports, like the one max, one sv and some others...but as said, they are just ports and not made by main developers and not that actively supported as the flagship devices.
You need to see, that you cant compare us to AOSP roms, google or htc...they got a manpower 100 x as big as we have and additionally we work on closed source that makes it additionally more time consuming and more diffult.
..and of all that happens besides our real life, wife, gf, rubber dolls, friends, household, job...

If you can't understand it, there's an easy solution -> Create your own rom.

While I can't speak for anyone else, I certainly understand real life. Venom has been one of my favorite roms for quite some time now. Would it be possible for one of us to try our hand at porting the kitkat sense 6 version to our Max?

Just wondering....why doesn't nusense have awesome tweaks like viper?

    "VZW" OneMAX? Viper ROM
Retired: Droid Incredible 2, Samsung Galaxy Note, Note 2, Note 3.

I'm sure that nusense has a few things that this ROM doesn't have, like sense 6 for instance. I appreciate your passion for this ROM, but please remember that xda is not a competition ground. Each dev or dev-team brings different choices to the table and it's for users to decide what they want on their phone. Comparing roms and/or teams based on "who is better" (and that would only be your opinion anyway) only creates animosity and a hostile community.

If your question was meant to be taken literally, and not in a, "why is viperMax better" intention, then I'll answer it that way too. We (team venom) have a strong no-sharing policy in regards to our tweaks/mods. This wasn't always the case, but without going into details, we once shared a few things, and then quickly got completely kanged (our entire roms were used without permission). It took us countless hours of working with the xda brass to get these kangs under control and removed, and it lead to new site-wide policies being created, specifically the admission of "no selective sharing of work" (a dev can't grant one dev permission to use their work, and deny another).

We are aware that our strict no-sharing policy kinda goes against the general open-source principals of Android, but unfortunately, the behaviour of others pushed us into that corner. Many of us still will go out of our way to assist other devs if they're in need of help, but we refuse to give permissions for non-venom devs to use our work. In my opinion, if we were to share our code with every dev that asked, it wouldn't help the community, as it would only lead to 3+ other roms that are exactly the same as ours (where's the point/benefit in that?).
