In general moving from radio to local music and back by means of using the multimedia screen from.vivid is very slow....it does not react to the first touch of icons...you have to press several times to the action be executed

Its fixed in the new ROM.
Old ROM: Vivid 20211119 -> Favorites dont work
New ROM: Vivid 20211123 -> Favorites work

But could you add the possibility to add a Folder/Album as a Favorite, not just a single Song?

And more important - please make the "PLAY" button more accessible:

@KhangTran476 @nicebaby Guys, unfortunately we found that there is no way to solve the VIVID launcher + PX6 non-vivid ROM steering wheel next skip two songs issue. Reason is non-vivid rom handle steering wheel inside once, and vivid launcher handle once. But non-vivid rom handle don't handle radio and bt music, so if vivid launcher don't react to steering wheel, then radio and bt music won't go next or previous. The ROM mechanism is kind of hacking but HCT is not gonna change.

So suggestion is using vivid rom to avoid that cause in vivid rom we disable rom handle when vivid is playing etc.

But I guess you are not using vivid rom now for a reason, if possible, let us know what's need improve~ Thanks

Saying "there is no way to solve ____" says a lot about the skill level of the software developer(s). Seems to me that it really comes down to process/environment awareness upon receipt of the steering wheel messages.

Why couldn't Vivid have a mechanism that detects the combination of ROM/launcher and if it determines that it is on a stock ROM instead of Vivid ROM then conditionally choose to react to the steering wheel controls? It would also seem that Vivid launcher could have some conditional parameters it could examine in the ROM version vs the Google Play installed version which helps make the detection of the operating environment easier to figure out.

I think vivid launcher is a temporary solution to a full vivid rom..
Patching the HCT rom is nonsense if you can have full control over an own ROM.
Bt media and radio are controlled by mcu (mcu sound) while the rest of sound by android..
The way in which this should be addressed is by to route the mcu sound to force be recognized by android as android media and everything be controlled by android system.
I encourage you to follow developing the full vivid ROM as it is THE WAY.

2) due to my maps floating it breaks the built in maps would like to see a blank space or even clock.
Or a backup camera to replace map
And swap music to map location
4) scion is a toyta off brand car manufacturer (I have a frs)
5) yea as my normal maps doesn't show any houses and seems to bug out alot when turning

Thank you for your detailed response and well said. I suppose the shorter answer is that you could properly handle the steering wheel controls in the Vivid apps/processes (e.g. media player, etc) but the bigger challenge/problem is when it involves 3rd party media apps like Spotify and others.

I think vivid launcher is a temporary solution to a full vivid rom..

The way in which this should be addressed is by to route the mcu sound to force be recognized by android as android media and everything be controlled by android system.
I encourage you to follow developing the full vivid ROM as it is THE WAY.

We are doing a ROM as well, but not publishing here cause we get no enough resources to support compatible issues with all kinds of devices. You can it get from Dasaita.

I have just upgraded to latest vivid rom and upgraded the launcher to the latest....
Spotify álbum art is now shown in the media player
Steering wheel works as intended for local/radio/spotify
I haven't tried the valet parking option.

Just a thing:
For.my case of Mazda cx5 ....why only model 2017 is available when no headunit is ready for mazda cx5 2017? At least dasaita sells unit compatible with 2012-2015 cx5
Perhaps you have to change that particular model and align with the ones that are sold by the manufacturers

1. Ability to add an image of your car in the car settings. Every time I add my car it doesn't seem to save under other.
1a. Have some obd11 data under this section of vivid, or link to an obd11 data app listed as default? ( this could be labelled " Car Data" or something generic like that)
2. To be able to map steering wheel buttons to specific apps. IE have a button, for navigation default app, ( this is in steering wheel controls but I mention it to understand the concept. ) assign a button for torque and which ever music app assigned as default or not. I sometimes use spotify or sometimes use power amp, for flac stored on the unit.
3. in steering wheel controls, having the button that scrolls through apps ( i think it is mode) only use a user selectable list of apps. Currently it opens a heap of apps that may not be used. including a music app, tv app, Dvr app etc.
4. Have wifi stay connected to hotspot, even when going from Zlink and back to vivid launcher.

As far I know zlink requires that the unit started Hotspot for wireless carplay/android auto...so keeping wifi connected to the phones wifi will.lead to never connect to zlink


The correct behavior should be an option of the behavior of zlink:
If automatic keep as it is
If manual only when opening zlink force the units Hotspot wifi started but when exiting zlink then avoid autoreconnect zlink again by forcing Hotspot from unit be disconnected
