I am on Dasaita Vivid 11.
My Vivid launcher updated automagically to Software Version 6.3.3519 (vivid).
Now when looking for upgrades I get "Check upgraded failed, check network then try again" which is incorrect because unit has network connectivity.
I can not find anything about this version....

Car launcher pro and Agama were good, but none of them handled the audio transition from Bluetooth to local sources like Vivid. I really just want that feature as a widget.

Hello, I would like to ask if anyone knows a bluettoth app that plays music from the phoen and is detected from the Vivid launcher as a music app.
The stock bluettoth app on my phone works fine, but is not detected at all from the launcher, Vivid sees apps like youtube music, poweramp and spotify so it doesn't seem blind like google maps that only sees a couple they allowed to be seen (when years ago it the music player appeared for any music app).
I would love to being able to use the integrated mini-player to control my BT music.

When I pin Waze to the taskbar of Vivid, it starts Google maps when I klick on the waze icon.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Does Vivid launcher supports adding a home button and back button in the task bar? I don't have physical buttons on my HU and I rely on the buttons in the task bar to navigate. If Vivid doesn't have that, I won't be able to use it.

Hi I'm a new user of Vivid. First off I love the look and feel of the launcher, but I am having some issues with it.

I have a YT5760b head unit vertical mounted. Its running the latest software available for it, 1.37.7 I think. The support team behind this head unit is terrible and pretty much zero help. In hindsight I wish I had done more research about head units and software before buying, but thats my fault.

I've run into so many issues with this head unit, so if anyone knows of custom roms, firmware, or hacks for this head unit please point me in that direction. But for the purpose of this post on vivid, pretty much my only main issue is the home screen. I think partly because of the bottom navigation banner on the head unit itself (for ac control and otherwise, but I havE that disabled as I have manual air) the whole launcher home page is slammed together, and I don't see a way to modify or resize the home screen. If there is a way to modify what goes on the home screen or the sizes, that would be perfect but I haven't found one yet.

Second issue, is actually more of a question, do I have to use google maps? I love the live map view on the home page, and I have tried to replicate this 'live map' widget on other launchers without success. So I like that vivid just has this by default. But I'm curious if I could potentially replace it with another mapping service.

One other question I have is if it is possible to replace the icon pack for vivid? Not a deal breaker for me by any stretch, but some of the stock apps that come with the car have awful icons that don't match vivids apps.

Thank you in advance for any help or advice. Like I said the support team for this head unit stinks and I've banged my head against the wall ALOT.

You won't get any support here either, development here has ended. Try another launcher from google play, for example Car Launcher, which you can customize as you need, or CarWebGuru. There are videos on youtube, they also work vertically:

The maps only show the current location and you have to be online, as far as I know, so far only google maps and yandex maps. None shows the route, so the function is more or less useless, but that's a matter of opinion. You can also change icons with Car Launcher, just install any icons you like. You can create your own backgrounds and arrange everything on them as you need. Here I tested CL in BlueStack and the basic unmodified looks like this:

If anyone came for Vivid, he came because of the design. Of course it's a matter of taste but both car launcher and carwebguru desings are outdated.

I've tried with carwebguru, but had a lot of issues with it. Its possible that some of my issues are because of my head unit, but it was very frustrating dealing with crashes, random reboots, weird aspect ratios etc. Plus the big one that got me was I wanted to have a 'live' map widget on the home screen and I couldn't get that to work for nothing. Maybe I was missing things but it didn't work out for me.

Your setup looks pretty good though. What brand and model of head unit is this?

Thank you for the great work on this launcher. If the development has stopped on it can I suggest reverting the google play version to 5.10.3470 that version had been very stable and I did not experience any issues or bugs with it. The latest version (6.3.3516) has a few bugs such as waze icon opening google maps and on physical home button press I sometimes randomly get asked which launcher to use even though vivid is set as always use (this never happened in 5.10.3470).

Installing 5.10.3470 right now causes google play to always show theres an update available and I can't use the update all option since it would update vivid.

Thanks again for giving us the option of such a great and modern looking launcher.

You can simply hit update all and then hit the cross next to vivid and it won't update vivid but will the rest
