Hi guys,

After update to new OriginOs 3 on my VIVO x80 pro I have started reach a issue with mobile network. When I am switching from wifi to mobile network I can't use a mobile and reach information about missing connection. Only possibility is to restart phone and it works again until I connect to wifi again. I have tried resetting network setting as well as disabling "network path controlling" and right now I have no idea what should I do. What's more important on status bar I can see "4G" icon with full bar and some of applications seems work (messenger for example works but google chrome or Facebook doesn't).

I had the same issue but when I was traveling through Spain. Sometimes my phone had 5G, in the next moment it said, that my SIM-card is missing and therefore, there was no mobile connection - draining also my battery a lot. In my case it was definitely the Spanish mobile network - in Germany I never had such problems with service.

So maybe, in your case, its not the phone but the service provider/network?

Issues solved or solution existing

  • Google services turn off automatically from time to time: apparently fixed (Dec '22)
  • message app window sometimes closes and can no longer be opened (restarting phone will help sometimes): apparently fixed (Dec '22)
  • echo for dialog partners while having a call using a USB-C Adapter for my headset (recommendation also possible during the call: plug out your adapter, wait, plug in the adapter again until headphones are shown within the notification bar): apparently fixed (Sep '22)
  • random wallpaper changes for the lockscreen: apparently fixed (Sep '22)
  • contact and favorite contact list issue (missing contacts, double contacts): apparently fixed (Sep '22)
  • NFC Google wallet issues with the new Oct 2022 update A_12.0.21.W10.V000L1 - device is not certified in google playstore, (with the old version A_12.0.20.W10.V000L1 NFC google wallet is still working and device is also certified in google playstore): apparently fixed with PD2186C_A_12.0.21.3.W10.V000L1 & PD2186B_A_12.0.21.3.W10.V000L1 (Nov '22)
  • NFC Google Wallet is working again with Origin OS3 and PD2186C_A_13.1.9.8.W10.V000L1 - 2023/January 2nd (With the version PD2186C_A_12.0.21.84.W10.V000L1 NFC Google wallet is not working)
  • Google Playstore App Updates/Installation impossible, it's a bug. Current solution: Settings/Accounts/Google Services -> turn off - wait 5-10s - turn on again -> it should work again

Issues still existing
  • always on display settings can not be opened, settings window always crashes (frustrating): still existing
  • dark mode issues (notifactions are worse than in light mode): still existing
  • general notification issues, sometimes notifactions are not working or are delayed (especially after updates - all settings need to be checked again): still existing
  • volume of headset very loud even on lowest level (too less volume levels especially in the low volume area): still existing
  • Warning of Binance app installation/update (I guess, it's a political issue), anyway - Binance is working 100%, it's only about the warning: still existing
New issues - January 30th 2023
  • Lockscreen Date shows "15:31, T1, Monday" - why there is a "T1" (since Origin 3 Update): still existing
  • Smartphone reminds me of chinese holidays (new year e.g.): still existing

I cant' seem to get the cast function like ever.
I can't connect it to my TV or MIBOX either.
It was working previously but after the latest update the wireless display is gone as well.

I'm facing the same issue after updating my x70 Pro+ to originOS 3. Have you found any fix for this issue? Before updating it was working fine, so must be a bug but I don't see many users complaining about this problem.

All of a sudden I have been unable to download nor finish updating any apps through Google Playstore. Have tried clearing Playstore's cache, rebooted the phone, removed and reinstalled Google Playstore but problem still persists. Help?

after updating originos 3 (from previous devices like x80 pro, iqoo 10 pro...), i can't play video or view pictures in origin privacy system, anyone have any way to solve this please tell me

    this is a bug. go to settings and scroll down to account.than go to google services and deactivate this. wait for 5 secends and activate.

    Well... There´s nothing else to be done... I just decided to sell and buy another device. IQOO/VIVO NEVER AGAIN!!! My worst nightmmare!
    Your rage will not help anyone. Buy a phone (Samsung, Apple or old Nokia bone) which suits your needs before searching for experiments - I'm very sure that you knew about the issues before buying - especially about the notification and energy saving challenge as well as the google assistant problem. If not, then it's your own fault.

    All main issues I had so far with my Vivo x80 pro have been solved by patience, thinking and trying, others issues have been solved by Vivo's update policy and little issues I do not care too much. This forum is the best place to share experiences, support and tips. I try my best to share my experiences and supportive attitude here in this forum even though I'm also a new member since this year.

    Your comment is really not helpful for anyone. Maybe you will be more welcomed in a different subthread: "IQOO 7".

    You are right about origin os...thanks again, I didn't put previously in boost mode and I only disabled com.vivo.pem...do you think that disabling is not enough?
    To be honest, I do not know. While getting it working step by step I was very impatient at some point, so I can not tell you which setting is really needed to get it working - please feel free to test it step by step to figure out which settings are really needed. I will post my settings again a bit more structured.

    The only thing I can tell you: I have uninstalled neither com.vivo.abe nor com.iqoo.powersaving, but with the settings below, uninstall of com.vivo.pem and a phone restart my notifications are working perfectly.

    Tested and successfully working with Signal, Telegram, Threema, Whatsapp (Vivo X80 Pro, Origin OS, Dim 9000):
    1) uninstall com.vivo.pem via ADB App Control

    2) set notification settings correctly for the certain app (Settings/Notifications/App notifications/APP):
    2a) allow notification
    2b) allow smart notification
    2c) floating notifications on
    2d) Lock screen notifications on
    2e) display notification details on lock screen on
    2f) Chats: priority display (if there are chats listed, choose priority display)

    3) set single permission settings for the certain app (long press App/App Info/App Permission/Settings Single Permission):
    3a) autostart on
    3b) startup on
    3c) floating window on
    3d) desktop shotcuts on
    3e) display on lock screen on
    3f) background pop-ups on

    4) set single permission settings for the certain app (long press App/App Info/App Permission):
    4a) permissions and free up space off

    5) set display settings (Settings/Notifications/Display settings):
    5a) show on the off-screen on
    5b) show on the lock screen on
    5c) show on the home screen on
    5d) show in the status bar on
    5e) notification method: original icon

    6) set battery settings correctly (Settings/Battery):
    6a) Boost mode on
    6b) saving mode off

    7) set battery settings correctly (Settings/Battery/More settings):
    7a) always on display on
    7b) optimize battery life off
    7c) auto enable battery saver off

    8) set battery settings for App correctly (Settings/Battery/background power consumption/App):
    8a) high background power usage on

    9) Restart Phone
