Just came across this at the VF uk forums:
Hi all,
We've seen some questions about when customers will be able to update to the EPF30 firmware on the Google Nexus One. This firmware was originally released from Google and approved by Vodafone back in May. Google have since decided that, with the Froyo update now forthcoming, the EPF30 update won't be available OTA (over-the-air) for download. Any customers wishing to update their Nexus One will be able to get the Froyo 2.2 update when it is released.
Note - customers who purchased a Nexus One from our later shipments will see the EPF30 update on their phones.
