VOLTE(Calling plus) Working on Sprint Note 8.

Mine will not make calls through the LTE Airave when I enable... I'm going to try it tomorrow in regular coverage to see if it works. The Note 8 Calling Plus update is supposed to be out any day from what I hear...

just a day so far. so far i havent' lost any text messages or calls. at least nobody tells me i have lol.. did a few calls to test too. now if i can just get rcs to work -_-

so for better instructions to ppl,
1)use short cut master
2)Search for enhancedlteservices (should be com.android.phone.EnhancedLteServices)
3)Launch it and enable Enhanced LTE Services.
4)Next go to com.test.LTEfunctionality and launch LTEFunctionalityTest
5)Go to VoLTE Test UI and Enable first 2 settings to on
6)Extra precaution, restart phone

In no way i'm taking credit for finding this out. just made the steps more simple. Thanks OP for posting this. Please use at your own discretion. I don't know if this will screw up anything but i'm getting both voice and data at same time.

To attempt to enable VoLTE.

I don't have a Sprint phone, I have working VoLTE but I don't have those settings that are talked about here enabled. My VoLTE is enabled through IMS settings.

In order to make VoLTE working, your service provider should support this feature also.
Please check with your service provider to make sure.

Update, I was able to get the VOLTE working by doin the SHORTCAST MASTER work around, will continue to update if have any problems. I just called a insurance company that was closed and was able to surf the web at the same time. AWESOME!!!

#1 note it doesnt show the VOLTE where the LTE is like my wifes S8 though

i did the update on my note 8 the other day and it said wifi calling would be changed to calling plus i didnt know what the difference was until i started reading on here about calling plus and i still followed the steps on here about enabling volte and i see that it enabled the calling plus on my phone and notice i could now use the net and talk on the phone at the same time and it added some features also like ending calls when someone else is calling so it doesnt tie up your line so far its working great so happy now

1st off which network are you on and is your phone unlocked or with that network, but the end call sounds cool.

I'm on Sprint and no my phone isn't unlocked I got the updated on the 19th amd it said wifi calling would be changed to calling plus I didn't pay it any attention until I started reading wjat calling plus was when I came on here so if u did the largest update look on your phone and see if wifi calling has been replaced with calling plus

For those with root that might not have updated to 11/15/17 patch. If they where looking for voLTE enabled by Sprint.

I'm not rooted, and it does work. I used apk extractor pro from market to pull out of device after update.
