Vortex V22 Standup Wireless Firmware Error

Hello!

I tried the search function but my search-fu isn't strong today. I got a Vortex V22 phone from Standup Wireless. I must have been half asleep, because when i flashed what I assumed was the correct boot.img, I got stuck in a boot loop.

On further investigation, I had flashed the boot for another device called Vortex. I am having incredible difficulty in finding the right boot image. The info I have from the side of the box is:

Vortex V22 4G LTE
Color: Graphite Blue
ROM 32GB
RAM 3GB
OS Android 11
FCC ID 2ADLJ-V22

Got my super to flash correctly and boots I to stock rom.

Tried gsi with product gsi flash & various system flashes, none would boot 4 me. Do I reflash to the super again and got the stock ROM whic is crappy @ best.

Am I missing something? Vbmeta should be original or empty?

HI We are still waiting for PicelBoi or someone else to upload or share. Your other option is a GSI ROM. Which is what I used. I'm assuming you tried recovery?

Did you use fastbootD and did not flash a system image as a super image?

No problem! Now just gotta wait for all the images. And that’s gonna take a long time. I am seriously hoping user data doesn’t contain my google account, because I never tested this SP Flash scatter

If my partition scheme wasn't so messed up I dont think I wouldn't need them. I tried MTK Tool and others and I was able to only grab some bin files. It was a messed up non-working phone when I got it. I was eventually able to get a GSI ROM loaded on it but after playing around with another MTK tool I thought I could pull all the partition data from it but it ended up making it unusable and unable to reinstall a GSI ROM. So your files would help me and others out greatly!

Yes! Correct. That is what I have always done with fastboot in the past. Ive done flashAll scenarios that have worked as well but Ive have seem to get more phones revived flashing separately.

Reason why: Flash Tool hates Android Verified Boot.

Try formatting your data as well.

It seems that mtkclient supports backing up roms, but I never tried that on this device. Anyways yea, my stock rom works!

Hi PicelBoi,
I have the V22. I've unlocked the BL and trying to install a custom rom via ADB or Fastboot but have had no luck. I try to erase or flash and I get errors saying partitions don't exist. Can you please help out with a recovery file?

I tried the hovatek guide but didn't have any luck, but I tried it before the BL was unlocked. Would that be an issue with the sp flash tool? I was told it shouldn't matter.

How do I unlock the bootloader, I tried going into factory mode but I just couldn't find the thing for the bootloader. Can you help me pretty please?!?!

Then connect to terminal and ADB to Fastboot mode or boot into Fastboot mode. Then enter the Fastboot OEM unlocking commands. If you want to root Download the firmware that picelboi uploaded and modify the boot.img

OMG thank you for this. I have been searching everywhere for firmware for this phone, even if just a boot.img. I decided to take a risk and patch the boot.img in your file with Magisk and flash it to the device and it worked! Can I assume the rest of the files will work if I need to flash them?

Yea, I actually managed to successfully flash my ROM to my phone. Let me know if there’s anything you need. Just to let you know, some partitions don’t play well with SP Flash Tool due to Android Verified Boot. Super partition is flashable though!

Try fastboot flashing unlock. I also think mtkclient also supports unlocking boot loader.
