Hi M.B.

From long I follow your lead @ G.E. thread and your compliment has an extra value for me.

It's my honor to serve you dude.

Hi robboc180

Please do remember that this is a forum ... not a chat. So, some delay may be expected.

Flashed on Echoe v25.1 and on reboot the phone hangs on the pulsating SAMSUNG sign, any ideas from anyone.
I am on the old bootloader.
Did @misterblonde 's suggestion solved the issue?

This is the first report of the kind since S3 (!) development started. I'm as surprised as you.

Some posts before yours, @abemann has reported ABB working properly on v25 (!) but seems that Master @friedrich420 has provided S4 users with a lot of wonderful new ported mods :D

I shall hypothesize that the new non-stock additions may have caused some problem regarding framework-res and/or twframework-res that are the only themed apks that could cause the described (mis)behaviour.

This can be tested by removing from ABB zip package the folder /source/system/framework ; reflash your ROM (no wipe needed) ; flash modified ABB zip. If the system boots up the hypothesis is corroborated.

Following this subject, I must ask yours and every other ABB Customers opinion ... what should I do?

Should I follow the innovation stream or keep it focused on stock only (Omega, G.E., Barebone, ... ).

Just notice that, following one may break relationship with the other.

Thank you all.

Nice regards.

Hello Guys,
Now I flashed Echoe-Rom 26 and before I set up anything, I install ABB and reboot the Phone - everythings fine!
Then I install xposed Framework and reboot - everythings fine. Then I activate Wannam-exposed and restore previous setting like changed Background colours of Notification-bar etc. from Backup. After this I reboot the Phone and it stocks at Samsung Bootlogo:(

O.k., again flashed Echou-Rom with wipe Data, then I delete every previous Wanam and exposed Data from internal-SD and install ABB, then install xposed Framework, reboot, activate Wanam-exposed but do not restore my backup of wanam-settings. Now the Phone reboots normaly

Apparently the old settings of Wanam were to blame!

Hi Fischfuss

There are two main reasons that prevents me from giving you a huge colorful tongue kiss
- You are (probably) so far away
- I'm not gay
:D

Thank you very much for supporting my suggestion that AllBacksBlack is harmless by design.

Will catch up with you as soon as the tks supply is refilled :good:

Just let me use the opportunity to invite you all to visit the new release of All Backs Black

[THEME] All Backs Black S5 ••●The Blackness Realm●••

Let me know if you find something there that would be desirable.

Nice regards.

Will do dude ... It's my duty! :D

The new Echoe-Rom has a new enhanced shutdown-menu, with 3 new COLORED  Buttons.
I change the PNGs into Transparent/white. If you want to integreat it into your ABB, feel free
Thank you Fisch

I've just integrated your icons and uploaded the new package. Didn't made it a release as only Echoe Customers will be served with this and they are all invited to update.

I shall too draw your attention to the below topic as I've found one inside yours ZIP.

The Dethumber™ Pro

Nice regards.

Dialpad

Me again

a little Problem I found, probably only for new Echoe-Roms. The "SecPhone.apk" has changed into "SecTeleService.apk", For me thats no problem, in ABB I changed the Folder-Name of SecPhone.apk into SecTeleService.apk and the most of the Phone-App went black.....accept the Dialpad-Buttons. I don't know wich PNGs I have to edit to get the Buttons black. Can someone help me?

Thanks a lot

Hi Fischfuss

If the issue is what I'm thinking ...

SecPhone didn't changed to SecTeleService. It changed to app\InCallUI.

I agree with you that SecTeleService have all the resources for the phone but I've found that it is useless.

Think that to better accomplish Echoe InCall Phone theming, you should grab my S5 work.

The screenshot you've sent is from SecContacts and, if it is the S5 port, be prepared for the greatest pain in theming history.

Let me know if that is or not the case.

Nice regards.

Hello Sir,
I try everything you say, take the PNGs from your S5-mod and put it into the S4-ABB - without success :(
Then I take a look in the color.xml in the values-Folder of the SecContacts.apk and there is a line

<color name="dial_button_bg">#ff104757</color>

could it be that here is the color set? Unfortunately I do not know how to change values of an xml-file and integrate it in an Theme

Hi Fisch

You've found the pain. It's not only this that I had to work out but, here is how to deal with XMLs:

- Still using "The Tool", decompile the APK

- Do the changes you need to do to the XMLs

- Recompile the APK. Be aware that errors are always raised here and the tool leaves back the log needed to tackle them.

Now, to create the flashable ZIP:

- If you changed the content of any XML inside folders named "values*", extract from the root folder of the apk the file called "resources.arsc"

- If the xml weren't from a "values*" folder (drawable*, layout*, ...) then just extract the modded xml

- now grab the content extracted and place them inside the flashable accordingly to their original source location.

Got it ?

Nice regards.

.
Yes, got it :good: , you're my Hero!

But after recompile the APK, I did not see "values"-Folder when I open the new SecContacts.apk with Winrar. So I put the AndroidManifest.xml and the META-INF-folder from the original to the new compiled and pull it onto Phone by replacing the old one. Now I'm black again.
And where I was at it, I have changed some other stuff like the ugly Contact-Background-color

And the best: Again I have learned something about ;)

Thank you, Sir

I know ... is exactly the below instruction:

- If you changed the content of any XML inside folders named "values*", extract from the root folder of the apk the file called "resources.arsc"
After compilation, all those "values*" folders are packed into that file. Extract it and build your flashable zip.

And the best: Again I have learned something about ;)
Isn't this the exact reason why we are all here ?

Would this work on Phoenix v. 9.3?
Hi,
the simplest way to find out is make a recovery-Backup and try ;)
Another way is to look into the zip of your ROM- file and compare the files in it with the files in the ABB-zip. If all the APK in the Phoenix ROM have the same Name as the Folder in the ABB, it would have to work.
....if not, restore Backup
