No dude. The above guide is intended to be done before flashing and preventing ABB to overwrite the S4 Stock QuickSettings icons.

You may restore your ROM by simply reflashing it WITHOUT wiping anything.

But, just to be clear, did you: a) edited build.prop; b) flashed ABB; c) you've lost S5 icons ?

Because, as I don't mess with those ugly circle S5 Quick Settings icons, they should stay as is even after flashing ABB.

Can some1 please describe the behaviour after flashing ABB over a modded build.prop ? There should be none.

Latest version is awesome and so is Enhanced. Phone is back to prefect black mode now..

One thing Kdio,

Before I continue further, IT'S MY FAULT to push S5 calculator into system/apk folder by renaming it as SecCalculator_3d.apk. Theme package unable to turn it black and also it creates a null apk with some pseudo name disabling calculator. I've fixed it pushing original apk back to system.

Reflash your ROM or just push SecPhone back to priv-app.

Sorry but those icons are necessary as ABB overall composition.

As we hadn't (yet) any other report regarding this issue and my setup is quite the same as yours (i9505 here) I will have to wait a little more to check if this happens with others ABB users and with that, get some guidance on what should be reviewed to tackle the issue.

While developing I've already flashed many times GE+ABB and had none. I've just never mixed ABB with anything else.

If you get the opportunity I would be very thankful if you could flash GE+ABB only and verify the issue. There is only the possibility that something inside framework is messed and is causing this but, if it would be so, that should be happening with others app's too.

Really not sure what to look at.

By the way, you've got here just when we are talking about an possible issue regarding AllBacksBlack and GoldenEye ROM. If you could read the posts before yours, @neoissa reported a problem with SPlanner. If you didn't debloated it, can you take a look at SPlanner?

Testing ABB 23.03.2014.
Works ok on SHOStock-i-v5.0.
(Tested also Enhanced Goldeneye version it works also with SHOStock)
Problems none so far.
About transparency ->for me enough to obtain proper visibility of white text especially in bright daylight circumstances.
Can't tell about Goldenye, as so far I'm staying at SHOStock-i-v5.0

No need to reflash ANYTHING. Just flash over.


ATTENTION - DIRECTION CHANGED
If not yet, flash AllBacksBlack Core from 1st post before Enhanced. From now on Enhanced will contain only the supplementary dishes

I've tried to get somewhere between you both suggestions about transparency. The workable range is from "00" to "FF". On 1st release I used "AA". Tested here with "88" but felt was too much. I'm distributing now with "99" ...

I use the S5 calculator and ALWAYS debloat the S4 stock one. Works much better and without lag in my opinion.
Will be great to see it in black too!
