This will begin rolling out Monday June 4 as per Verizon's website:

http://news.verizonwireless.com/news/2012/06/motorola-xoom-updated-to-ice-cream-sandwich.html

Also the support PDF has been updated: http://www.verizonwireless.com/xoomsupport

Below are the links to the OTA ZIP files. You can also find them in the Xoom firmware repository at http://www.randomphantasmagoria.com/firmware/xoom.

Verizon 3G CDMA Xoom - IMM76L from HTK75D: http://android.clients.google.com/p...signed-trygon-IMM76L-from-HTK75D.dd9131ec.zip
Verizon 4G LTE Xoom - IMM76L from HLK75H: http://android.clients.google.com/p...signed-trygon-IMM76L-from-HLK75H.2a903016.zip

Some notes:

For the 3G CDMA Xoom, you must be running a completely stock installation of Android 3.2.1/Build HTK75D. For the 4G LTE Xoom, you need to be running stock Android 3.2.6/Build HLK75H.

If you are on stock, and are rooted, you CAN flash the OTA update, but you will lose root unless you use something like OTA Root Keeper or re-flash root yourself.

You can flash these files manually either in stock recovery via USB thumb drive and OTG cable, or in a custom recovery by just putting the file on your internal storage somewhere.

IF YOU ROOTED VIA THE XOOM UNIVERSAL ROOT METHOD, OR ANY OTHER METHOD THAT USES A CUSTOM BOOT.IMG FILE, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO APPLY THIS OTA UPDATE. IT WILL FAIL 100% OF THE TIME, NO IFS, ANDS, OR BUTS. IF YOU ROOTED USING THIS METHOD, YOU EITHER NEED TO FLASH A PRE-ROOTED ZIP OF THE ROM, OR YOU NEED TO USE FASTBOOT OR SBF IMAGES TO FLASH BACK TO STOCK AND APPLY OTA UPDATES FROM THERE.

If you rooted by just flashing a custom recovery and then using that to flash the official Superuser ZIP file, then you should be fine.

Do we need to return our units to stock in order to receive the upgrade or can we just download the ota over our custom Roma?

Can someone post the steps to return to stock? I really hate to go back and am wondering if I should just wait for someone to post an updated Rom.

Hmm...in have done the manual check for updates and nothing. Strange. Is there a manual update to apply?

Yes, you can download it from http://randomphantasmagoria.com/firmware/xoom/mz602. You will need a USB thumb drive and the Motorola USB OTG cable to flash it in stock recovery. If you don't have those things, you'll have to flash it in ClockworkMod recovery which will involve unlocking your bootloader and wiping your data.

If you are completely stock on 3.2.4, I can't imagine for the life of me why you wouldn't get the 3.2.6 update. It was released back in February.

Thanks for the link! I ended up wiping the tablet to see if it would trigger it, but no.

I was having an odd issue where if I held down the power button it would reset hard, and not in the normal way.

I just flashed the update zip via USB OTG, and did a factory wipe.

Yes it did, but since I wiped I figure I might as well try flashing CM9 and check it out before relocking it back to factroy to await the update

Uh, that's for WiFi only. Not applicable here. If you flashed VZW firmware on an Australian 3G Xoom there's no telling what you'd blow up. At best you'd have no working mobile data. At worst, that could hard brick the tablet and turn it into a paperweight.

On the Motorola forums one of the moderators is saying they haven't even started the soak test and June 4th is not going to be the release date.
