Assuming your Xoom is Verizon branded (as it should be since that's what we're talking about in this thread), the easiest way is to go into Settings | About Tablet. Look at the Android version. If the Android version is 3.2.2 (Build HLK75C or HLK75D), 3.2.4 (Build HLK75F), or 3.2.6 (Build HLK75H), you have a 4G LTE Xoom. If it's 3.2.1 or earlier, you have a 3G CDMA Xoom.

It's also worth noting that you'll need to be running the latest stock ROM in order to receive the ICS update. That means on a 4G LTE model you'll need to be running 3.2.6/HLK75H or for a 3G CDMA model you'll need 3.2.1/HTK75D.

I just installed the 4.0.4 update from the link in this thread..

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1692149

it's working great.:D
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If anyone gets the 3G Xoom's IMM76L from HTK75D update, please post so I can update randomphantasmagoria.com. Thanks!

The 4G update seems really smooth so far. 4G reception seems better in the house too, though time will tell if it's just placebo effect. There are new CDMA and LTE radios, no bootloader update.

Also, for anyone interested in the launch bar feature, it just flat doesn't exist. It only exists in the ICS phone interface, not for tablets. This was a major marketing faux pas on Verizon's part. If you want that functionality, you'll need to use a custom launcher.

My mistake, got a little trigger happy

Thanks, but no. The link you posted is the file that upgrades HTK75D (3.2.1) to IML77 (4.0.3) on the WiFi-only Xoom.

What I need is the update that would have come out yesterday, or will be coming in the next few days that will upgrade HTK75D (3.2.1) on the 3G CDMA Verizon Xoom to IMM76L (4.0.4).

Thanks anyway, though!
Yep I searched for the text from your last post and thought i found it, turned out to be the old wifi update.

We have verification that the 3.2.1/HTK75D -> 4.0.4/IMM76L OTA file for the 3G CDMA-only Xoom began pushing today. If anyone gets that OTA and could post the link, I would be most grateful!

Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk 2

It's almost disgusting how much better 4G reception is in my house after this OTA update. The new LTE radios definitely did something because my speeds have gone up considerably and the signal strength is showing stronger by at least one bar just about everywhere in my house.

Also, I didn't think it was possible to get better battery life than I did on Honeycomb, but this ICS build is delivering in that department too.
