Nothing prevent... the files I send you are wrong because it was for os internet , not o2 uk ...
I see roaming is not active, have you try with ?

I have data roaming on but still not getting a connection. When wifi is on the H appears over the signal bar. I find this a bit strange as the H should be a 3g data symbol.

And notice that the function switch the screen when turning the hand works only when the clock is at rest, ie when walking not be able to see the clock by simply turning the hand - it is necessary to press the button. The same is true for the firmware 1.2.0. At the initial firmware for the K8 mini screen lights up when you turn the hands while driving. Do not know if so specifically made to the screen does not light when playing sports. But it is not very convenient.

Just tested this and you are correct.

If you are jogging the flip to wake function does not work.

Hi all. Well after sim swapping over to EE, I can confirm that the watch now has mobile data connection. O2 must use another frequency but I'm glad to report that I have go it working!

First let me start by saying thank you for your great work! Love it! But maybe I mist something, but why have you moved everything to Google+ I for one do not like it for one bit, we have a great community here, why move it away to another site?
I see you have released v1.2.1, I can't find it on the Google+ site, maybe I'm not looking at the right place :)

  1. D5/Mini/K9 share this xda section with almost 100 other smartwatches that have nothing to do with the it.
  2. Over 2200 posts for the D5/Mini/K9 crammed into three main threads. (The entire xda Pebble forum is smaller than this)
  3. Large amounts of info getting buried and the same couple of questions asked every couple of days.
  4. Searching for for answers is pretty much crippled as there are now pages of results which are mostly comprised of somebody else asking the same question.

This is not an issue in the G+ community . Everything is properly categorized, the FAQs are the first thing you see no matter how many posts there may be, everything is easy to find. So the options are keep adding to the chaos, or be able to find what you want in a matter of seconds.

v1.2.1 was pulled because the firmware has a nasty bug which breaks accessing Google Services over a 2G connection. No email, not Play Store downloads, no contacts sync, and so on.

I apologize in advance if I repeat or I repeat someones question, but why you cannot delete the system clockskins are in this firmware? Some of them are so ridiculous and not relevant, for example the snowman with the snow!

Yes Loki, I send you a message , if you know howto "copy"/modify this launcher to be able to change some pictures or add features.. You know howto ?

You can replace the images used in the faces using 7-zip or winrar. Full modification (removing faces, changing the layouts, etc..) is a bit more involved as you have to decompile, do code edits, then recompile. nd the faces in the launcher don't have .xml configs like the others.

The procedure for adding custom skins is no different than stock firmware.

I use this method, but un the custom ROM I can not activate USB storage

What method should I use?

thank you very much

1.Connect watch to Windows/Mac/Linux
2.Enable USB Storage on watch
3.Create a folder called "ClockSkin" on the SDCard/Storage
4.Drag and drop any new face folder into "ClockSkin" folder on SDCard/Storage
5.Disconnect watch and select the new face

So you get no popup for enabling USB storage AND there is no option to do so in Notifications (the screen to the left of the watchface)?

Thank you but:
- you think I can replace it in system/priv-app after without any problem ?
- I must change the odex too or only apk is suffisant ?

It sounds like you don't have a lot of experience in this area. I'd suggest you read up on swapping out /system apps before you proceed.

No, you don't need to do anything with .odex file.

    Status Update

Why certain aspects of development progress are slow
Many aspects of the UI and watchface engine are scattered across multiple apks. To track down say the config for an embedded watch face, or notification config, it requires decompiling apks then searching through all the code to find one line of code. If that line of code is just a reference for another apk, then yet more apks have to be decompiled and searched.

Example, the default watch face and the engine is not only tied into the launcher apk but deskclock and other apks. So instead of watchfaces themselves being handled by a single apk like you would normally see, it's a line here and a line there scattered across multiple apps. As you can imagine this has a serious impact on development time. This would also explain why the launcher has such high resource usage.

I am working on things but progress towards a perfect system is slow. So if I seem short tempered regarding off topic posts, or "it's broke" posts with little to no information, hopefully you can understand why.

    W812a v1.2.0 prerelease

    Changes over v1.0.0
    Changed to K9 base
Full APNs list (or as close as I can find at the moment)
Mailwise email (more swipe friendly, supports multiple account types)
    Calendar preconfigured to Agenda mode
    Heads-Up preconfigured and working
    Jbak2 keyboard is now default
    Stock KB removed
    SpeechKB removed
Completely removed gapps and did a clean install
    "Download" in app drawer removed
    Little more pruning and tuning

Battery usage- approx. 2.2%/hr 2G connection, WiFi/BT off with email (30min syncs), weather, calendar sync, brightness set to "1", rotate wake enabled. (this drops to less than 2% if email sync is set to every hour)

    Issues:
    1. Data will turn off if not used for an extended period of time, say more than an hour. I'm still trying to find this as stock does the same.
    2. If Jbak2 keyboard updates you will need to copy the jbakKeyboard folder folder back to SD. (This is a jbak issue and not a ROM issue)
    3. Wiping after install removes the preconfigurations, so wipe then restore is is the proper method for now

Why is it a prerelease?- I still need to finish replacing the launcher embedded clocks, hack the stock round keyboard so it uses Google voice search, and a couple other things. It is however daily use ready.

    How to install
    (DO NOT SKIP STEPS)
    1. Download zip and extract it
    2. Copy the TWRP folder and jbakKeyboard folder to SD
    3. Reboot into TWRP
    4. Wipe
    5. Restore "W812a v1.2.0 prerelease" backup
    6. Reboot

    NOTE-
*Heads-up is not preconfigured to turn on the display when a notification comes in. If you want this enabled, check the app's settings.
*When v1.2.0 final is released it will use the XDA DevDB. This means there will be a locked release thread, and an unlocked Q&A thread. At that time this thread will be locked and point to the new thread.
