It's Nice
I have a Samsung S9 as my daily phone. Google delivered the Pixel 3a is two business days, which was quick.
I bought the Google fabric case for the phone. But even without the case the 3a is the first phone I've held in a couple of years which felt "secure". Put another way, every time I handle my Samsung S9 without it's case I am scared I'll drop it, because of the extraordinarily slippery glass. The Pixel 3a feels like I won't drop it. I'm not even sure careful people need a case.
One last thing: Some of the reviews say the phone feels cheap because it's plastic and not aluminum and glass, With a case on the 3a phone no one can tell what the case is made of, or if the rear of the phone is fancy glass. I
much prefer a robust phone. Because, you know, when it's all said and done, if you shatter your S9 screen, what you have is $1000 of junk.
So I'm liking this Pixel so far... .

And bonus points:
It has a headphone jack again! YES!!
