I'm opening this thread by permission of Lacoste. All works belongs to him. I'm just sharing with you.
There are 2 different files. In my LG G2 device I tested both of them are working. So try and see for your device.
(Newer version of Walkman/music files always Fc in G2 Lollipop Roms so i use Semcmusic 8.4.A.5.4.apk. Uploaded for G2 users that have fc)

1- Walkman Z3 + by Lacoste
Before installing always make sure that you have 60 MB of free space in System

- turn off the menu "For Developers" - NuPlayer (experimental)
- Go to the recovery and make Wipe Dalvick Cache
- Flash Walkman
- Make Wipe Dalvick Cache
- Reboot

Recommended settings that I think are the best:

Equalizer:
- 4
0
+1
+4
+8
ClearBass +10

Surround Sound:
Studio

DSEE:
On

A clear stereo sound and Dynamic normalizer: tick the box

Recommended Settings:
Dynamic Normalizer - ON
DSEE - ON
A clear stereo sound - ON
Surround Sound - STUDIO Equalizer -4 0 +6 +8 +2
ClearBass +10
Ear choose the type similar to yours! Sony STH-30 - gives a strong bass

Review on CM 12.1 Xperia M

I flashed the v6M. Work well with Sony Xperia M CM 12.1, version cm12.1-20160123-NIGHTLY-nicki . I can consider this as bug free because so far I didn't found any bug yet . Thanks for posting this stuff .

Phone speaker doesn't work on 6M
After flashing , the audio via headset works great. Haven't had the clear audio work for me in M before.. but there is no sound coming via the speaker.. ringtone , msg notification , nothing.. using moto maxx on Resurrection remix.. any ideas.. ??

WALKMAN v6M works fine on CM 13 CAF on my Nexus 5...thanks mate it's the unique version that works for me with Clearaudio on MM (neither your Walkman Z3 works.)

Thanks, this V6M version works on latest CM13 nightly.
Although, first the volume was very-very low on headphones. I have copied back the stock audio_effects.conf and mixer_paths.xml from CM zip, since then the volume is also fine. I've noticed that the stock mixer_paths is about thrice as big as your's. I hope this doesn't effect the quality of sound.

@kh34d, I was reading your debate with yken at androidexpert35's thread. Excuse my intervention, but have you even read the OP? There are 2 links, one Z3 walkman for LL (v12) and one Z5 walkman (v6M) for MM. The extra apk attached, I think it's for G2 users.
I'm using the second one, which works fine on my coconut, even with the latest version of Sony Music (9.1.6.A.1.0beta).

Did that. It's still there. Can't seem to find it in system either. I flashed a new rom, factory data reset the device and even wiped internal storage. I'll try it again. It's getting a little frustrating

Did what I should of done to begin with. I didn't ever find it in system but I did a complete wipe and I'm back in business. The app basically made my phone stay in headphone mode. Nothing brought my device out of it, I caution anyone who installs this via recovery to be careful

I update my rom now and port is gone try again please it must work, except if you have add-on script to make it survival after update your rom.?
