Here is a concise set of walkthroughs for multiple phone customizations.

Even a beginner should be able to follow these walkthroughs.

All walk-throughs are based on the EB01 Froyo (Android 2.2) ROM Series. If this is not your desired ROM series, please replace the EB01 zip files with the zip files for your applicable ROM series.

If something sounds vague or unclear, let me know and I'll make sure i clear it up in the associated walk-through. Thanks go to anyone who wrote these mods, wrote portions of these instructions and hosts these files. If anyone notices a ROM or mod without credit, please let me know so I can add credit to the mod creator, as I don't know who made some of the mods.

These walk-throughs are made as a general guide only.
AS ALWAYS, BACKUP BEFORE YOU FLASH ANYTHING.

Post 1 (this post): 'Must do' steps for everything listed below
Post 2: Rooting
Post 3: Installing ClockWork Mod (for new CWM users)

What this does:

Rooting

What this does:
- Enables you to run apps which need access to advanced system features, such as data backups, wi-fi tethering and installation/removal of default apps.

Prerequisites:
Post 1

1. Extract downloaded FascinateRoot_v02.zip

2. Open the folder where you extracted the FascinateRoot_v02 files

3. Execute START_ROOT

4. Command window will appear
- Carefully read all directions
- Press any key when you are ready to continue

5. When the process is done it will say "Complete".
- Press CTRL+C to exit the rooting script
- Restart your phone.

6. Download titanium backup from Market (optional)
- Open Titanium Backup
- If it asks you for Superuser permission you have successfully rooted
- Give it permission

Done!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Troubleshooting Tips

Most Common Solutions to errors:
1. Make sure you completed Post 1
2. Make sure your phone is connected using the original cable that came with the phone (e.g.: blackberry cables don't normally work)
3. Verify that debugging is enabled.
4. Try to run it again

adb push: Permission Denied
Your SD card is mounted to your PC.
- Use the drop down notification bar to turn off usb storage.
- Close out and start again

Prompt tells you that you do not have permissions
The process failed to grant you temporary root access.
- Close out and begin again.

After continuing from reboot the process freezes for a long time
This is normal. This process take a good 5 minutes, and it will appear frozen throughout this time. Don't freak out. Be patient.

Error Device not found
If this happens after continuing after first reboot, this means that the phone was not properly connected before continuing. After reboot unplug the phone, plug it back in, then continue.

-- If you are happy with the apps which come with your phone right now, you are advised to simply install the stock Froyo ROM, which provides the identical app selection as you are used to on Eclair (Android 2.1).

This will really help alot of folks... thank you.

As far as voodoo, I have the red recovery already with voodoo options... would it jack it up if I enabled it?

Thanks for this!

But I'm having trouble with the Superclean 2.0 link.

Link seems to be down from adrynalyne thread... Sure it will be up soon! I'm anxious to get this thing loaded with voodoo & hope that our battery issues are better!

Thanks lowkee for the great write ups! That will help many people if they read it :)

Upgrade to the EB01 Froyo ROM (from any other ROM)

    What this does:
    - Upgrades your phone to the Android 2.2 (Froyo) operating system.
    - Adds or removes apps depending on the ROM chosen.
-- SuperClean ROM is recommended, as it removes a lot of extra apps and provides better versions of default apps. It also removes Bing as the default search engine, replacing it with Google.
-- If you are happy with the apps which come with your phone right now, you are advised to simply install the stock Froyo ROM, which provides the identical app selection as you are used to on Eclair (Android 2.1).
