I have a question about the puzzle, power and battery mod. Can anyone explain exactly what is changed?

Thanks!
The battery icon in the notification bar now shows the percentage. The image is slightly different as well - I like it. When holding the power button, you now get more options. With this mod, the puzzle lock is used. There is a similar mod which will change the lock screen to the stock android slider.

The update modifies a few files in the /system directory. If you really want to know which files, unzip the .zip file and look in the /system folder path within the zip.

Please remove the link to the voodoo kernel. It was only shared in irc for a reason, and may still have unknown issues. When it is clearly ready, it will go into its own thread here.

Also please credit original authors in your posts. Kinda lame to kang for a howto thread :/

Once I'm back at my PC I'll remove the voodoo kernel link and mark it as a future addition.

As for credit, I linked to the threads I found and the authors I knew were the authors (eg: I have no idea where the battery mods came from). Some people are pissy no matter what you do. This is a HELP thread, for crying out loud. One of which I wrote until 4am. How about letting a dude get some sleep before you haul out the pitchforks and torches?

UPDATE: I removed the link to VooDoo, instead pointing them to the IRC channel. Sorry for jumping the gun on releasing it.

Sigh. Its a barely tested hack, that can easily soft brick if not used correctly, there is no thread to point back to for information, because it hasn't even been released yet.

That has no place in a newbie help thread.

Pissy? How many noobs do you feel like hearing whine because they broke their phone? When the hack comes with noob instructions, no background information and no author listed, who do you think gets blamed?

Glad I passed on that one. I'm patiently waiting for BLN + Voodoo/Voodoo sound... I forgot how crappy the stock sound configuration is on this thing.

Good Job. Many will find this thread very useful, myself included. :)

Many, Many more will ignore your disclaimers and brick, spawning innumerable "How do I fix this" posts and threads. :p

Thanks. I made this in the hopes people will at least have a fighting chance for things to go right. Plenty of people are skipping steps or flashing wrong versions simply out of lack of information. Some will brick no matter how much hand holding they have; It's the Darwin of things.

Lol. Very true. You should have one post with a link to a kernel for the Vibrant titled "Dont Flash This". :p

I grabbed the Voodoo kernel and flashed it, not knowing it was a leak.. Seems to be running great quadrant scores in the 1600's, not that that matters. Um, what should I not do with this thing? I haven't messed with any settings in the clockwork recovery yet.

Love the Darwin reference, and thanks for the how-to. Too many people getting ID 10 T errors on their phones.

Ok so I installed eb01 and superclean 2.0 and my phone is telling me I have no network coverage. Interesting thing is that when I did the wipe after I installed eb01 it didnt bring me to the setup wiz. Does that mean something didnt wipe correctly and thats why I have no network?
