Am I missing something?

I'm still trying to figure out if this is really such a difficult question or if nobody cares. I've combed through dozens of pages of Google search results using a variety of search phrases in an effort to learn how to manually add images to the system wallpaper gallery. I've performed some fairly ambitious modifications to my device and so I thought this one would be simple but after hours of searching my head hurts and I'm starting to wonder how badly I really want to do this. I've tried apps like Flikie but these apps create their own folders to store images which ultimately leads to media being strung out all over the place. Maybe it's the OCD in me but I simply can't function this way. I would even be satisfied with an explanation of why such a thing is unnecessary.

Is your phone rooted? If so try useing root explorer to find out were those files are located. I have never had a issue wit h just chooseing one from the gallery my self. or i personally love useing zedge it give me ringtones and wallpapers a plenty and i can view them from the gallery or in my case quick pic. But i do understand OCD and wanting organization to your media so i hope the search goes well lol
