Hi Guys. I have T2 Max (T2M+) projector from banggood, there is no brightness control and my firmware seems to be from 09/2021. I downloaded filed and placed them on the USB drive but nothing happens when I start the projector, it just boots to android (9.0)..
Anyone has a clue on what is wrong?

Hi all, great news again. Just emailed the support for a "fake problem (lagging video playback)" in hopes of getting a newer software update..

So the guy replied with a new firmware.
Previously, i have uploaded a June 16, 2022 firmware sometime in July in this thread.
This new update will bring the firmware to 20221117 ( November 17 , 2022 ).

I have uploaded the new firmware update below. Please give this post a like if it work for you ! ty
[Download from any ONE of the 3 option will do]
1. Mediafire - https://www.mediafire.com/file/rutuap9zrf5tl0i/WB_FJ035FHD05_ZJ.T9255E.350R00_1G16G_IrWBFTEN_350_4O3W_WANBO_20221117200933_%E6%8A%98%E5%B0%84_%E5%B8%A6%E8%87%AA%E5%8A%A8%E6%A2%AF%E5%BD%A2_%E6%99%BA%E8%B1%A1%E4%B8%BB%E9%A1%B5_Eshare.zip/file

3. The Attached file in this reply

Ill made another post regarding "new" things that i have discovered from this new update.

Like before, the flashing procedure is exactly the same. Ill copied paste it here again.
( Do note that once you update, all existing applications, data, system settings , colour configurations will be erased. Saved them if you need)
To update Wanbo to November 17, 2022 firmware. Same steps mentioned in thread:
>>>
1) Downoad file , Extract/ Unzip/ Unrar , Paste all 5 items inside the file in a Fat32 thumbdrive
2) Turn off Wanbo , Turn off socket + Unplug power plug on Wanbo side, Plug in thumbdrive
3) Plug in power plug on Wanbo side , Turn on Socket. Wait about 10 seconds for update screen to appear
4) Update screen appeared , let it finish
5) Once it boot up again, It will stay on "android" screen for a while. Just be patient and let it finish :) Cheers !
-- ELSE if boot to home page, repeat procedure starting from step 2

I have followed all the steps and I can't get the blue screen to come out. Either it won't boot or it boots normally. Any trick? I want to update because the wifi takes me only 10 megabytes of speed. Thank you.

Hello,

I am considering buying the Wanbo T2 Max Global Version with Android 9.
It costs 149 Euro with shipping on AliExpress.
Is this a recommended projector, considering its price?

I do own a Toshiba DLP projector, but it only has VGA input and 800x600 resolution. So I would like to have something portable for my bedroom and when travelling.

My questions are:
- Is it possible to watch Netflix with it? Like: browse the new movies/series and continue to watch whatever you started on your account.
- Is the brightness ok? I know the room must be dark, but will a dark room provide a bright, colourful image with acceptable contrast? My Toshiba works in broad daylight... Is a dark room OK for the T2 Max?
- Is it possible to use it with a laptop through HDMI? Will you get 1920x1080 resolution and will it be readable?
- Why are some talking about the Banggood version? What is different? Can you cross-flash the firmware or are there many different HW revisions and components on different T2 Max devices?
- Will I be better off with a chinese no name brand, like the 100 Euro FullHD projectors from Amazon (ifor instance https://www.amazon.es/Proyector-YEZMEK-Compatible-Smartphone-Películas/dp/B0B77C5LKT) and just use a Xiaomi TV stick? The price will be the same, but with the T2 Max I would get a more compact solution with just the power cable...

I have seen the Youtube reviews, but not so sure afterwards. No clear conclusion...

Thanks,
Bicurico
1. This Projector doesn't pass Widevine L1. Which restricts it to be under HD Quality. Same with Prime. Maybe there are workarounds to get Full HD or beyond, which I am not aware of, but you can watch those services without issue.

2. The room should be dark to get the full capacity of the device's potential. Or at least no window should be in that room, any sunlight kills it.
(light)
(dark)
But at least I honestly tell the quality is sharp of the LCD Projection when it meets its conditions.

3. I can't tell which HDMI version it is built-in, but seemingly it supports my Switch and probably other HDMI-out devices.

If you have a dark room which you want to set up as a cinema purposes. This device can work out. It ain't shady at all, but I would highly recommend get a Projector with more Lumen/Brightness, most descriptions are irritating and trying to convince you, we have an extremely high Lumen value. So you better read certain reviews before.

Thank you very much for your reply!

I ended up buying a second hand LG PH510PG projector and spent a little less money on it than the cost of a new Wanbo T2 Max. It was a good deal.

The image is only 720P, but the picture quality is really nice for homecinema in bedroom. I would say it is brighter, compared to your pictures.

Only drawback is that it has only vertical keyframe correction, it would have been nice to have horizontal keyframe correction, too.

The built-in battery is a great advantage and the lack of Android is covered by an MI TV stick, which presumably works better than the Android of the Wanbo T2 MAX.

The main reasons I was put off buying a Wanbo T2 Max:

- Only few sellers within EU and I did not feel like having to deal with customs (expensive and huge delay)
- Only the low spec is available (less RAM/DISK)
- Basically no warranty
- Bad reviews regarding built-in Android: incompatible with new Netflix versions, slow, etc.
- Software based key correction will slowdown the firmware and produce uneven sharpness, plus it is apparently difficult to adjust
- I read about heat problems, including the PSU

I did fancy the design and FullHD resolution. Perhaps one day I come across a nice offer.

The Software is actually irrelevant when you're going to use a Fire TV Stick, Xiaomi Box etc. This kind of accessory would have fixed all your negative impacts.

I understand that, but it would void the advantage of having an Android projector.
That was when I started to look at the Wanbo T2 Free, but apparently this model is not real FullHD, despite the specs.

Hello beautiful people,

Found this forum while looking for a way to update my TV, this is a hail Mary because I am shaking with frustration right now lol

Basically, I have a Silver TV (yes the brand name is Silver and it doesn't help when you want to find anything about it, look up silver TV support and it'll show you ACTUAL SILVER COLORED TV'S AND UNRELATED SUPPORT STUFF 🤧). The TV works good but, as many above, I have problems accessing apps like Netflix HBO crunchyroll etc.
I have a pre-installed Netflix app (seems to be a smartphone version of it anyways), the quality is bad and navigation is counter-intuitive to say the least. I tried downloading a TV version of the Netflix app to my phone and sending it to my TV via some wifi transfer app. Problem is, after it installs and I log in, I keep getting the same error someone else got (I think 0013 or something along those lines, basically saying it can't connect and reloading in this exact cycle that can't be broken). This is how I realized that the OS might be outdated and be the reason why Netflix among others doesn't work properly. I tried the OTA update, but if it doesn't say that there was an error connecting to wifi (even though the TV is connected) it says "firmware download error, please try again". Now I figured that it would make sense to contact the seller and ask for help but their IT guy didn't help much, he was just happy he could start playing the video on Netflix and saw this as an ultimate win lol
So I thought I should try asking them for any way of contacting the manufacturer, but it seems they don't have any info which seems at least questionable to me lol like how will you sell something from a manufacturer you can't contact but I digress... I'm debating a local update but not sure if I should do it or not. Did anybody here have any type of experience with updating a TV or even any experience with the brand Silver? Any information would be appreciated. Attached are the errors in the OTA screen and in the local update screen. Version of Android is 9.0 as per TV info, like many here the version of TVOS is June 2020 (as seen in picture attached). Like someone said it before, the hardware seems solid for its price but the software is... what it is lol

As I said, I'm thinking about doing the USB stick method but "better a sparrow in the hand than a pigeon on the roof" - the TV works fine and I have my Xbox series S plugged in, so I'm essentially able to use it "normally", and would hate to fry my TV because I can't let go haha

Any advice? Also let me know if you guys need any other pictures taken

Best

Jakub

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to start with a massive thank you for ll the advice I managed to get from here.
My Wanbo was waaaaaay too dark. I emailed szwanbo for advice and the newest firmware
update which they sent me with installing instructions.

Image is still dark but at least not as dark as before. Any advice on it?
Also Netflix I can only open in a browser but hey, I can see more :)))
I'll take that.

Anyway I've attached the files they gave me for the update but they got back to me very quickly
so it isn't a massive hassle to go straight to the source.

It's weird that my firmware is nearly not as up to date as yours. Mine does have the original Android OS side menu you show on that last post you made on the 6.0 thread.

I keep getting I'm on the latest version. I'll try a few more times. Not that big of a deal as I'm not trying to fix any issue.

You can try this one. Update with USB procedure. After what you said, I think I'll keep it as is for now instead of installing the one you sent.
    Hello!

I also have the Wambo T2 Max with android 9.0 my firmware is Sep112021-190039. I managed to upgrade to your version, but the lag is still there with an HDMI input if I use any type of keystone correction which enables zoom.

Without zoom it is perfect, but still, it's a bummer as I have to reset the zoom to 0 all the time for me to not have the lag. Might help a little @andresousa.com
Oh and also you need to extract the files from the zip on the USB ( I actually had both the ZIP and the extracted files together so not sure which worked ) and make sure your USB has a FAT32 format. Before you plug your USB in, take the AC cord out, insert the USB and then turn on the projector, you will have to wait for it to do its thing.

I have done tests with GPU rendering on and EDID 2.0, still the same shuttering with any keystone/zoom settings. I still have to see how it behaves in these conditions with the 1080p settings.

The thread from beforehand recommended using ABD commands and the Chinese Launcher, which I might try to see if it changes anything... .

Just want to share in case anyone else out there is using VLC android to play videos via DLNA, do DISABLE the VLC's hardware acceleration setting in T2Max, otherwise the video quality will be poorer.
