It's OK, you'll not loose things on internal storage or SD card, but backups are recommended in any way, keep that in mind!

I have aosp extended v 6.4 installed yesterday,i installed micro gapps,arm64 ,9.0...
Hmm, GApps should have finished setting up then. Did you wipe data when you flashed AOSP Extended? Are there any apps running in the background? When do you observe the lag - is it random or after using particular apps?

Your best bet might be to post in the AOSP Extended thread, though I don't see any mention of lag.

Is your device fully set up (i.e. everything has finished syncing)? On going syncs might cause the lag. You could enable Developer Settings (tap the build number 7 times) and change the animation settings, see if that makes things seem a little smoother.

Could be AOSP Extended itself, but you could try mini GApps.

Please answer :(
Please note these forums are not real time support, we'll try to answer when and if we can.

If you restore your TWRP back up, you should revert back to when the back up was made. If you made it whilst on stock ROMs, you should revert back to the stock ROM without issue. However, this will reset your data back to when the backup was made, so any newer messages would be deleted unless backed up separately.

Your back up will not be deleted when restored unless you delete it yourself. I'd make a backup if you want to update your backup, but up to you.

First sorry for that ,but I am curious to know about that you guys are extremely good ..
I am on pie custom rom currently and I want to revert back to stock oreo as I take the backup when I was using stock. This step which I will follow for revert back to stock,is this correct or not please review on that.

1) i take my apps data, message, call logs backup separately (on pie).
2) boot into recovery and restore backup.
3) reboot.

Now I have questions ;
1) i am not understand what you want to say about messages and all data ,can you please elaborate that...
2) i want to restore backup but before this it is necessary to take backup in twrp , it ?? It overwrite my previously backup if I have backup in internal storage??
3)if I take backup in twrp (when using in custom ROM) and restore backup( oreo stock), so I am in stock Oreo ,then I restore my backup of pie it revert back to custom ROM???

4) last ,I am use custom ROM bacause of when I updated on oreo through OTA , my sound from speakers is very low and I can't play media without hands free and currently this issue solve (pie) so this is Oreo bug???

Thanks in advance ,I know this is long questions from me ,but yes this help me and others..

1) what I meant about messages and data is that restoring your backup will revert your messages and data back to when the backup was made. Any messages after that would be lost unless you backed them up separately.

Your procedure looks okay, though I don't know if restoring apps/data from a Pie ROM would be okay on Oreo.

2) backups are separate, a new backup should not overwrite the old backup. You would have to delete the old backup yourself. I would take a backup of your custom ROM installation, before restoring your Oreo backup.

3) yes, it should do as you're restoring the system, data and cache from the custom ROM, then you'll revert back to a custom ROM.

4) looks like an Oreo bug affecting some users, though my device appears to be unaffected. No idea what causes it and no idea if there's a fix

After the restore of your TWRP backups, did you wipe cache to check if your device could still boot? Also, did you try hard rebooting when your device was stuck (hold down the power button for 1-2 minutes), see if that got your device booting?

As for your SIM detection issue, which custom ROM is it (is it aosp extended) and what GApps are you using? Have you checked the relevant thread to see if any one else has the issue? Do you have IMEI or the IMEI SV reported, and what did your baseband report as?
