Want to flash SHOstock3

My son's i777 makes me paranoid to do anything on it because of the whole "super bug" in the past. I want to flashSHOstock3 on it as an added Christmas bonus ( I know it's cheap but times are hard so got to use some ingenuity). I rooted his phone a a few months ago and flashed this:

The stock rooted one. It has CWM as well so I assume I am on a safe kernel since AJ's ROM used the siyah kernel. Going from rooted stock to SHOstock3 should be a fairly easy proposition ? Is TWRP available for the i777 (safe to use) ? I am quite confused on the whole backup EFS thing as well. It is x1000 times better than CWM for me on the SGS3. Love that one. I digress. I'm comfortable with my old Cappy and SGS3 just not yet with the i777.

So any help would be great. PM is fine too. Thanks !

P.S. does it have Touchwiz UX like the skyrocket leak ?

All you need to do is do a full wipe (including dalvik and cache) and flash the rom via CWM. And yes, it is a TW leak.

Just use an EFS backup tool

Thank you! I just wanted to be sure as id seen it on other devices thread and I'm learning as I go with adb.

I looked at andromizer (sp?) But was kind of iffy on that method

So my sons phone automatically did the OTA and he says it is stuck at the booting up screen. It is on AJNnewkirks stock, debloated one. He connnected to wi-fi and it forced the update. SO.... since I don't have the phone on me what is the best option ? Get into CWM and maybe clear the cache and davlik ? Factory reset ? or should I just odin with creepy's walkthrough ?

You could try a wipe data/factory reset from recovery. If that doesn't get it booted, start from scratch. You're going to have to flash it in any case to get ShoStock3 on it. It's just a little more work to flash stock with root. You're going to have to put a custom kernel on before flashing ShoStock3 in either case.

Try jedi jelly. It's the 4.1 leak with minimal tweaks. I my wife loves it... Except she uses SwiftKey
