Those with touch screen responsiveness issues and lag problems should try this. In fact, everyone should. It sped up my and my wife's device about 25% and cured her touch screen issues.

Setting>About Phone>Tell HTC..........And turn that stupid **** off.

I can confirm my 3vo does not have anything of the sort. No tell HTC at all.

To me you have to
1.ditch Sense to speed this up.
Launcher pro Advanced Settings has three different speed setting...the max settings really get things flying on this device ...not as well as Evil 3d...but way faster than stock.
2. Get this fully modded to increase memory .

Why does everything posted in XDA turns into a 'who has got bigger penis' fight now a days.

Doesn't hurt to try this, see/feel/imagine an improvement then I say keep it or else turn it back on.

Why does this matter so much?

Cheers!
Amen. S'way worse on 3d forum.

"In one common placebo procedure, however, a patient is given an inert pill, told that it may improve his/her condition, but not told that it is in fact inert. Such an intervention may cause the patient to believe the treatment will change his/her condition; and this belief may produce a subjective perception of a therapeutic effect, causing the patient to feel their condition has improved. This phenomenon is known as the placebo effect."

You were told it would improve speed and so you make yourself believe it did...very common. Placebo is very powerful :)
The placebo effect ironically also works in retaliation among skeptics. ;)

I find that the best way for me to speed up my Sensation is to not use the Sense 3.0 launcher. Instead I am switching back and forth between launcher pro plus and go launcher.

QFT.....I've tried all of the launchers and in my opinion ADW EX is the quickest most responsive one. Plus it has more customization options than anything else. I love being able to change single icons, app names, re size widgets and the ability to add more columns and rows to the home screens.

I do actually notice an improvements. I use to get 14-15hours of battery on Moderately heavy use, but since I turned this off.. I've been getting 18+hours on Moderately heavy use. Oh I would also like to point out I'm using the Extended Anker battery, which is another reason why my phone last long.

I unplugged it this morning at 4am. and its currently 11pm so yeah. xP

I tried switching the Tell HTC setting off. On my Sensation. All that happened was Sense restarted every time I backed out of an app. Best solution to restart is to reset phone to factory setting & then only install apps you really need. Use a backup tool to backup texts, call lists etc...

Well, this does reduce data usage a little bit, but it's not worthy enough to have it's own thread... You want do speed up your phone? Find a suitable ROM!

Best way to speed up Sensation is to transfer as less apps into SD card as possible. non-Sense ROMs helps do this better since they give more internal free space.
