Hey got a few quick Q's:

I am currently on the latest OTA update from Huawei which for me is the 'EVA-L09C432B166'.

I plan on flashing the B167 as I am under the premise it is Android 7 + EMUI 5.0...

Is that right? And how do I flash (i am unrooted).

Thanks for any help!!

Hi, I was under the same version. Flashed it using the sd card dload method, and I was/I am unrooted and locked bootloader. Also the upgrade hasn't wiped my phone. I've retained all the apps and settings.
I can now confirm it is Android 7 and EMUI 5, although the "about phone" section shows it's Android 5.1 and EMUI 3.1
Also everything works as it should. It would complain about compatibility initially but everything actually works fine. I'm very pleased with the battery and improved performance. It is smooth :)

I flashed the version I listed above... EVA-L09C432B167 but according to CPU-Z I am still on android version 6.0.

How did you confirm you are on 7.0 and EMUI 5?

Ohhh OK I see. And are you aware if I can flash this on the EVA-L09?
of course, as im on L09 too :)

I've also found out that if you want to get back to your previous ROM you have to flash paulobriens pulled image from the post earlier "Stock ROM dload file - P9 EVA-L09 B136" first, otherwise the downgrade will fail and the phone will boot into recovery, just so you know ;)
(given that you use dload and dont want to mess with custom recoveries and rooting)
