i understand you have a phone to play with, please come helps us fix the aids, we may have a possible fix for futrue users we just need someone willing to try it out. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I never flashed back to 4.1.8.3 using RSD Lite. I updated to the official 2.3.4 via android recovery. I unlocked the bootloader. Flashed to the HKTW 2.3.4.

Now it looks like the phone is in a endless bootcycle. Goes to the Motorola screen then just reboots.

Extract this to the root of you C drive and use the following commands in the listed order, one at a time :

Put your device in Fastboot mode by holding the volume down button while booting then volume up
Open up a command prompt and type( ONE AT A TIME )
cd C:\moto-fastboot
moto-fastboot flash boot atrix-2.3.4-hktw-boot.img
moto-fastboot flash system atrix-2.3.4-hktw-system.img
moto-fastboot -w
moto-fastboot reboot
i did this and now im reflashing sbf
Let me know if this ends up working for you.

you are not stuck, you can still take advantage of the custom roms on the dev section. just dont sbf. the safest custom rom is kenns. it dosnt flash bl or radio.

So what should be done when the real update comes out?
Are we stuck with this until someone finds a true way out of it?

Is there any possible way to be able to start fresh, other than flashing sbf?
Are you guys trying and working on a fix?

we are tirelessly working on a fix for anyone using this OTA at the moment.

in the mean while you could fastboot flash the boot.img and system.img if you want to revert back to 183

unfortunately for those hard brick there is no fix without the sbk.

while my method will *probably* not work

i have just returned from walmart with a soldering iron and some cheapo micro-usb chargers

i am going to start working on making a Factory Cable that will allow me to access the phone from a computer WITHOUT the battery.

if i can get this to work, we'll never have to worry about hard-bricking again, just obtaining factory cables :D

wish me luck

Doing so will completely make this phone safe again if it's not hard bricked?
Sorry for asking a lot of questions, it's just that I'm not very experienced with this and I'm very paranoid lol.

its impossible to make any phone unbrickable.

but hopefully a method to return to a safe sbf can be worked out. things are looking up.

HERE IS THE SCOOPER POOPER from your official forum troll. You will brick if you flash back to previous SBFs. You will not brick if you flash back to previous SBFs that have PUDDING built in. All your phones are belong to pudding so get used to that.

PS- you should just be using fastboot to flash stuff now anyhow ;)

So other words:

Stock 1.83 -> PUDDING unlock -> "Stock" 4.5.91 are stuck on 4.5.91 or used any SBF's with PUDDING on it

What about:

Stock 1.83 -> "Stock" 4.5.91 following your criteria they can flash normal SBF?

no normal sbfs, only ones with puddings.

BUT ONCE AGAIN GUYS. SBFS is never been safe. the safest metho you could ever use is to flash the system.img and boot.img thats truly the safest method of having a new system.

If you've never unlocked with pudding you are basically safe from harm but I dunno if that update.zip will flash (probably will). Again that statement is pure conjecture and you are responsible for your own actions.
