No, unless you use ota rootkeeper to preserve root before the ota and then restore after. That's what I did and I have both the ota and root.

Adry, I updated my device 2 days ago and thats EXACTLY what happened. Didnt see your post in time. Bootloader is completely LOCKED on my Photon Q. I only used my unlocked bootloader to wifi tether and Titanium backup. Didnt care about anything else. I read about guys factory resetting their phones with No Luck, so I wasnt gonna try that.Fixes the exynos exploit, locks the bootloader, and updates the radio. Possibly some other minor patches looking at the patch file sizes.
Stay away from the ota unless you use the safe one I created in another thread. Ignore AdamOutler's comment in this thread as it turned out to be wrong and people got locked up in the process.
No.I, unfortunately, have to get my GN2 exchanged for display issue. If I happen to end up with the new firmware can't I just ODIN back to the previous stock image and boot loader and all is fine?
Does using the updated boot loader baseline and stock pit restore the stock recovery? I had to use those two files to restore my VZW GN2 back to working condition because I tried to create a backup with clockwork mod using a locked bootloader.Don't be shocked if you end up with a locked device.
If you care about an unlocked bootloader, you may want to pass on it.

Can I ROOT my device without flashing my ROM and not be affected by this at all? I want to be able to use Titanium Back up when I need to or is this an answer for a different forum?Don't be shocked if you end up with a locked device.

Casual should work on the latest OTA. If you continue to have problems locating the software, let me know and I can package up a download for you.So Ive been reading up for the past week on all things root, and im still swapmed. and if this has already been answered please direct me to the thread. I happened to read about the OTA warning the day after I updated to vramc3. UGH.
My gut says no, but is there any way to downgrade from vrmac3 without having rooted before? I know previous version have been unlocked -thank you adam - but not sure if there is anything I can do at this point.
Ive tried downloading the lastest update of CASUAL, but every link i have found either on XDA or anywhere on google, has been broken.
And yes i have been through http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2272066 multiple times looking for any hint of a new update.
Once again, sorry if this has been answered already, and thank you Adam for all the hard work and the eventual fixes. We all know your the man to turn to when it comes to stickin it to Big Red.
Ok cool. I think the host site has just been down, but if it's not up sometime today I may need you to send or link a patch. Thanks again.
*update*
the host site is back up, but can you link to the newest version? the newest link i can find is for version 492, but i think there is a 543? not sure tho.
