If you don't mind, can you post up a detailed guide on what to do if you want to flash 4.5.141 and get unlock and root here, and I will add it to this thread.
I would, but it was Motorola that updated me to 4.5.141, sorry.

I sent my phone in for a screen replacement, running CM7, and it came back updated. The post I linked has a rundown of what I did; which was just following all of the prompts of the automatic unlocker (i.e. enter, enter, enter :))

I guess I got "lucky" in that they updated me with an unlocked BL, and I was fortunate enough to not run into any issues re-flashing pudding.

*Re-rooted with this method.

Hmmm... As soon as I get another Atrix (A very kind user had donated his hardbricked Atrix), I will test the new 4.5.141 build... I plan on making a "fruit cake" like installer for the new build...

I did not have any problem on OTA with unlocked bootloader

My Atrix is unlocked and rooted. I followed instruction here (for Atrix2 but works on Atrix):

http://www.theandroidsoul.com/update-atrix-2-to-android-2-3-6-ota-with-root-retained/

And went through without any problem.

However, my buddy has the problem everyone was talking about (unlocked and rooted). We went through the difference on our phone and found that I unlocked the bootloader pre GB, my buddy's phone came with GB and unlocked using the goapk.com package.

My buddy's phone got stuck with the green little android when booting with the OTA. He had to boot into the recovery mode and did a factory reset. I think wipe /cache partition would work too but it was too late.

Can everyone reading this post reply with the following info:

(1) If you are unlocked, when (pre and post GB) and how (goapk stuff or not)?
(2) Any issue? If so, how did you resolve it?

Was on rooted 4.5.91. Applied OTA update and phone boots, goes into Android, loads the OS for a couple of minutes then reboots again. I'm able to accept/make calls, get on net, etc. while it's in Android but then my phone just restarts on its own.

Anyone try this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fExICU8B7g4

Recovering from soft brick after 4.5.141 OTA update (note, I got the steps from the Motorola support site):

Think I fixed the issue on mine but had to hard reset my Atrix. Here's what I did.

- Removed microSDHC card.

- Remove and remount the battery and power up

- Perform the following Factory Reset instructions:

~ Power off the phone
~ Press and hold the Volume down button and Power button simultaneously while powering up the unit.
~ Screen will come up with "Fastboot" at the top of the screen, press Volume down key to cycle through choices until you get "Android Recovery", then press Volume up key to boot in this mode.
~ Wait for the "triangle ! / Android" screen then
~ Press both Volume up and Volume down key simultaneously. A Recovery Menu will come up.
~ Tap on Volume down key until "wipe data/factory reset" is highlighted, and tap Power button. Another Confirmation screen will come. Tap on Volume down key until coming to Yes and tap Power button.
~ After userdata is cleared, the "reboot system now" option will be highlighted by Default. Tap Power button.
~ Phone will reboot to initial setup MOTOBLUR screen.

I then went on to setup my phone again, etc. At least it's not bricked.

Please report back with your experience to let others know if this worked for you or if you ran into problems. :)

Easy way to unlock and root 2.3.6

A have looked for simple way to unlock and root and pudding on first site was just to complicated. This is waaay more easy.
Manual is self explaining. I can also confirm that it works on android 2.3.6
Motorola Atrix 4G ATT 4.5.141
I have unlocked bootloader and rooted in couple simple steps. Afterwards you just need to install superuser from market as written in manual.

I use handy in Bosnia, worked great. Looking forward to Neutrino 2.2http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1182871

Im updating the link but next time I visit the page it shows it is dead, no idea why. Perhaps iti is better if you look after this: Default Automatic bootloader UNLOCK/ROOT for AT&T 1.26/1.57/1.83/4.5.91 [UPDATE 07/31/11]

UPDATED/CLEAN SCRIPT V4.2 07/31/11 8:00PM EST

PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE ANY FILE PERMISION OR COMPATIBILITY JUST RUN THE SCRIPT

* I consolidate everything in a single menu, so now Automatic Bootloader Unlock, Automatic Root for Unlock users, Automatic CWM for Unlock users, Mobile Hotspot for Unlock users, Automatic Fix for Softbrick (NO OS SCREEN/some "Failed to boot 0x1000"), fastboot/moto-fastboot checking for troubleshot & Official GB 2.3.4/4.5.91 Restore from Motorola

* Default CWM now: Tenfar's recovery-en-goapk-0630-1029

* Optional CWM Rom Manager's recovery-clockwork-4.0.1.4-olympus

* New executable file "MAIN"

* Now with menu selection to chose what version come from to apply the correct pudding

* Added compatibility layer for Windows 7 x64 users as follow: "set __COMPAT_LAYER=WINXPSP2" <----- I JUST REMOVED

Check screenshots of each step side by side (PC <-> Phone Screen)

AFTER GET THE BOOTLOADER UNLOCK YOU CAN ONLY FLASH BY RSD SBF'S WITH "PUDDING" FOR NOW ON, SO IN OTHER WORDS BE CAREFULLY WHEN YOU USE RSD AFTER "UNLOCKED" BOOTLOADER

* CONFIRMED, IS SAFE TO RSD THIS SPECIFIC SBF FROM MOTOROLA:
1FF-olympus-user-2.3.4-4.5.91-110625-release-keys-signed-ATT-US-GAS_NA_OLPSGBATTSPE_P011.sbf
MD5: 56721d893e43b814e95683a00b165555
SHA1: e00786e975b4f1d9fba2ff90c1ee6bbf95bb47b2

SO NOW ON FOR UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER USERS THIS CAN BE A BASE IF SOMETHING GO WRONG AND YOU NEED OUT OF THE BOX STATE FROM MOTOROLA
Need to be flash with RSDlite V5.3.1

Prerequisite:
1. ATT ATRIX 4G device
2. Windows PC
4. No matter what version you have 1.26 / 1.57 / 1.83 / 4.5.91 (*)
5. Proper USB drivers Installed (You can found them at: http://www.motorola.com/Support/US-E...arging-Drivers)
6. A little of Patience

PROS:
* You will ended with an unlock bootloader (BL)

Procedure:
1. Download the attached file
2. Unzip the file inside of a new folder on your hard disk
3. Now is time to run the magic, go to the folder you just unzip the files in and double click or run "MAIN" file
4. A new windows DOS box will show up and just follow the procedure!
5. Flashing pudding part will take a little longer so be patience and let the magic do their work
6. At the end of the process your phone will reboot automatic.
7. Enjoy it!

Thanks to the2dCour for pudding sbf
Thanks to Tenfar for CWM (I prefer it due to the ABD option in recovery! NICE)
Thanks t0dbld for Mobile Hotspot patch

(*) Some users with 4.5.91 will need to run "fix" file to recover from a softbrick after the first attempt
(*) It seemd the new 2.3.4/4.5.91 pudding do a wipe after flash it, so have a backup just in case (I tested 1.83 and at least this preserve the data)

So I've read through the various 4.5.141 threads and frankly am a bit confused.

I'm currently on a 4.5.91, unlocked, rooted device. As of today is there any reliable and safe way to upgrade to 4.5.141? If not, is there any way to remove this obnoxious AT&T update notification that pops up every 15 minutes?

I know I could flash another ROM, but I have yet to find one that incorporates all of the Exchange ActiveSync security measures in the EMail client that works with my corporate email (the Blur EMail.apk works fine though).

Ok, the Automatic Bootloader Unlock/Root sounds like it works for 2.3.4 and 2.3.6 (2.5.141), but does this mean that you unlocked+rooted 2.3.4, did the OTA, then re-unlock/root with Automatic Bootloader Unlock/Root?

Other threads say people are using OTA Rootkeeper:
unlocked 2.3.4 --> temporary unroot --> OTA to 2.3.6 --> reroot

Can someone else verify?

It's actually pretty easy guys! Just flash Nottach's new ROM, it's 4.5.141 and its already rooted, busybox'ed, tweaked, etc... (link in the OP) It doesn't remove unlock either, just flash from CWM like any other ROM, easy!

Will installing Noattach's new ROM preserve my settings? or basically wipe everything?

Thanks for your help.
