I got my GW3 about 8 months ago and like it more than ever. I am in Canada and change the Region a few times, and finally settled on XAR. Got BP running and I find it has all the functionality I need. Now with the announcement that GW4 will be running Wear, my fear is that new apps for GW3 will dry up and developers will focus on Wear.

So, I am curious, will Wear be more Tizen than WearOS. Will it be possible to change GW3 firmware to Wear? What about side loading Wear apps.... will that be possible?

Crystal Ball and deep look into future?

:alien:

No Firmware leaked... no details nor somebody saw Wear running in action...

Maybe it looks like they are trying to hold their WatchFaces...
MAYBE old WatchFaces... maybe few of them can be used... MAYBE.

This is SM-R860 Firmware Development...

I can count 40 + Versions...

IMHO nothing final...

They are still playing around... since April...

Best Regards

Leads also to this blabla...

Samsu.g killed also Tizen Mobile in short time....

Maybe GW3 was no commercial success...

So they need new magic words...

I think a GW3 update for the new hybrid OS is a pipe dream. Samsung wants to sell you a new watch - manufacturers almost never bring something like this to old hardware.

And it might [probably] be very difficult to bring the hybrid OS to the GW3 because the new hardware is developed specifically for the hybrid OS.

Is there a petition to upgrade Galaxy Watch 3 to Wear OS?
