Sorry, I just now noticed your question. Yes, that can be done by adding another icon and setting Display to Dimmed mode only. I've now done that and updated the file on my site. I also got rid of the behavior where it refreshed the weather when you tapped the icon, because there seems to be a bug with WatchMaker where it still does that even when the watch face isn't displayed. For example, if I brought up Settings on the watch, then tapped in the middle of the screen, it was still refreshing the weather instead of going to the setting I tapped on.

Edit...I was also able to improve the look in ambient mode a lot. Basically, everything should be set to white for ambient mode on the ZenWatch. Good info: https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidWear/comments/2qb3ia/clarifying_ambient_modes_everything_you_could/
Thank you for the info and for all improvements!

I tried your FacePro suggestion. I downloaded three watch faces and then imported them into my watch faces with WatchMaker. One of the three showed up as blank so I deleted that one. Then when I tried to use either of the other two, the watch face changed but to a really lame, plain watch face, not the one I had selected. The instructions are simple, so I know I did the steps right, but why I don't get either face to appear on my watch is a mystery. The fact the face changed to the lame one indicates the steps are right, but just not getting the new face even though I had them on my phone screen and chose the set watch option.

Ideas?

Here are three that I designed:

Watchmaker (the outer circle sweeps the seconds radar-style)

Watchmaker (the watch and phone battery levels are shown either side of the year in ambient mode)

Intellicom (creating the right colour to mimic luminescent hands and numbers was tricky)

Hi.
To set icons just use EMOJi
You have it under SmileFaceButton (left from space or long press on enter on stock keyboard)
If you still cant find it you can copy and paste it from getemoji.com :)

Made this with WatchMaker. My kid's school mascot is the Falcons, and I'd already made a wallpaper for my phone with that as a theme, so when it came time to make a watchface...

Yes, that's the Atlanta Falcons logo, with different colors.
